hi..it depends on how much you want to import and what it is...i worked for import/export a good few years ago so might be out of date a little.

1.are you importing to uk..if so get yourself a good agent to help or do your paperwork.will save a lot of head ache..belive me
2.be care full about alcohol..they will charge you import duty on total volume.
3.everything that goes into uk has a gode..x/y one pays duty the other does not so find out from an agent
4.if you are takeing a secound hand car for import make sure no petrol/deisel in tank because they will dip the tank and charge you duty on it(greedy twats)

like i said before get a good agent,it will be worth it and save time+money
sorry could not help more but will ask around if you need any help

good luck

As I understand it, the vast majority of breweries already have agreements with UK distributors - you'll have to go through them, as they won't sell directly to you in Poland.

Go into your local Polish shop and ask them where they buy their beer :)

What are you looking to import - mainstream stuff, or local brews?

You'll need to get in touch with these guys :)

If you want to make a serious order (and by this, I mean at least 10,000 bottles/cans at a time - on a regular basis) - you can e-mail me at office@lindenia.net and I can put some feelers out here for you.

Here for Lech, Dębowe, Zubr, and Tyskie. They are SabMiller brands.

Zywice and Warka is owned by Heineken, I'm guessing you already know who to contact for that.

The main problem as you should already know is exclusivity agreements and cross border selling. For example if you are a wholesaler in france and the people from the UK are buying directly from you to take to the UK. That would be a problem.

It doesn't matter about the tax: these companies will simply not sell to you unless they know where the beer is going. If you want Zywiec and Warka just get in touch with Heineken France. If they won't help you out I can put you onto a board member at Zywiec who will make sure that they do help you. For Lech, Dębowe, Zubr, and Tyskie contact SabMiller France. For Okocim go to Carlsberg France.

Try to contact Polish Shops in Netherlands/Belgium (http://e-migrant.eu/nowosci,sklepy,20,1,polskie_sklepy_w_belgii_i_w_h ola,147.html), most of them have own logistic channels and I think they would be able to help. Only thing they would have to do is forward their loads to France.

Buying directly from Poland would be a bit cheaper but to buy from wholesaler you need to find someone with permission to deal with alcochol and do all the paperwork.
