Hi All
Is there a chance for me to get work permit or visa sponsorship in Poland as I have 4-5 years of experience in SAP HCM/HR.
I am currently in India and are looking for a break internationally.

You can watch my profile online:

Please feel free to revert back to me immediately for any further clarifications.
Thanks in advance.

Forget about it. Jobs are scarce, and employers have to hire Poles and other EU citizens first. There just aren't a lot of jobs left over for foreigners. Millions of Poles are themselves working abroad because there aren't enough jobs to go around. On top of that, wages are low, and living expenses are high. You will also need to know Polish.

The only chance you have is to get hired by an international corporation while you are in India and get a transfer to Poland. There is no chance of finding a sponsor in Poland to apply for a work permit for you.

Sorry, but Poland is not an attractive destination for job seekers, especially for those from outside of the EU. Very few Indian students who study in Poland decide to stay. There are better opportunites in other countries. Your time would be better spent looking elsewhere.

Impressive profile I must say.

Don't bother the "nay" sayers, I think you have a very good chance with you skills.

You must try to post your information into some Job sites. Do you know anyone or have a friend in Poland?

You know the SAP market, do you?

There is some SAP usage among the multinationals, but I'm not entirely sure there's a skills shortage for that within Poland specifically or the EU in general such that they'd take someone on from outside the EU that easily. Especially if they don't speak the language.

The road to Hell is paved with good intentions ...

There are plenty of Poles with even more impressive profiles and skills operating forklifts in warehouses in the UK.

Posting a CV is a wate of time. Especially if he doesn't speak Polish. Like I said, the only chance he has is to get hired by an international corporation while he is in India and get a transfer to Poland.

Tell me Mr. Lodz_The_Boat how much time have you spent working in IT?

How many times have you actually sat and interviewed these IT Guru's that hail from India?

I can tell you categorically having interviewed/worked alongside/Managed our Indian IT brethren that their CV's and Linked-In profiles in the vast majority of cases aren't with a damn.

Harsh but True.

Why is it that just saying a couple of good words to someone makes you all so upset? Are you all sadists or what?

IT jobs are always popular in Poland, this I am sure of.

Although I must agree, that jobs these days are quite scarce in Poland. It is an unfortunate fact, but I foresee it changing soon.

However, I have Indian friends doing businesses in Poland, and one of them is actually working in a clothing firm (although he is Bangladesh, not Indian). They have their money and care, and the Indian one just bought a good home too in a decent neighborhood. Decent people, his wife is my friend from childhood days ... I know them pretty well.

As for this person, the deficiency of not knowing Polish is the greatest problem. Had he known Polish, no matter what you guys say, I am certain that he would be able to make a living in Poland. It is not that we are all so cruel that we will never give a job to a non-Pole or non-EU. It the requirements are met, we can give.

My friend who works in the clothing industry got a job because he spoke decent Polish, had good diploma in Apparel and Garment Merchandising and Technology, plus a graduate from a decent Polish university such as University of Lodz. Not only that, his wife is Polish and our firms are still supportive to such spouse, considering that the better half or the man is Polish, and eventually it helps the Polish person and the family ... an opportunity to be successful in it.

Ofcourse, he lacks in all of these. But still, I believe in equal opportunity ... my dad's firm itself employes now 2 Indians (which we hired just a year ago), and they are working quite well with our international trade wing. We also have other nationalities ... from Moroccan might come in ... as it seems ... his skills are good, and diversity in workplace is a positive thing when planning to grow your business. It is something that really adds value to the organizational culture, and the helps to connect with clients and foreign counterparts.

I know business enough well to be able to support my dad with our businesses, which were established since my grandfather's dad!!! ... so yeah ... IT or not ... I am not totally unaware how it all works. We have been through times which many American or British firms would crumble in. How a business is guarded, kept alive, and revitalized, resumed or remodeled ... and then resurfaced or return to its glory ... is something we know. It all takes links, and intelligence to face the changing environment, even in the most extreme cases. Diversity in workplace helps that too in outstanding ways ...

Actually, were being kind. The answer might be harsh, but it saves him a lot of wasted time looking for work in Poland when he is extremely unlikely to find it.

Actually, we can't give. By law, Poles and other EU citizens get preference. The examples you gave are very exceptional, involving international trade or someone married to a Pole after finishing university here.

This guy is looking for a job in an area where there are PLENTY of qualified Poles and EU citizens, and he doesn't even speak the language. It would be cruel to lead him on and give him the false hope of finding work here.

What is sadistic about the cold harsh reality of the truth?

You applaud his profile without question and yet by your own admission have no experience in the field of IT.

Ive been sat next to the next Bill Gates (well according to his profile he was....) and he didn't even know how to pipe output to a text file from a command window. My 3 year old son
