Where to buy Zubrowka online to ship to US?

Hey everyone:

I am a big fan of Zubrowka Vodka, and although I am fortunate enough to be able to find it in my general vicinity (Greenpoint, Brooklyn or Wallington, NJ) it would be even more convenient to buy it online. Although I would prefer to buy the direct Polish Zubrowka over the Americanized version, either would be fine.

The problems I am looking at is that I don't want to pay crazy shipping charges, and that I think shipping alcohol to New Jersey is legally questionable. Having said that, I know that the internet sometimes allows us to work around issues like these.

So, my polish friends, does anyone know a reputable online shop that I can order from?

Thanks!
-James

i doubt you'll be able to ship the polish version to US as it doesn't comply with US laws thus the "americanized" version.

my advice.. walk to the store where you know they have it.. bottoms up! :D

I found one other online resource from Adamba, the importer of Polish foods to the US:

adamba.com/adamba_webstore_gateway.htm

You can manage to put some Zubrowka in your shopping cart but the site itself looks questionable so I am hesitant to place on order...anyone have any experience with this site?

Dzien Kuje!

polish spiritus is 100 or 99%. one used to be able to get it (at least at avondale) for longest time but not in the last couple of years or something. either that or i am imagining this. lol

Hey Sledz. thanks for the words of advice. I placed the order on Binny's and the Zubrowka is much cheaper than I can get in the specialty stores around here. Also, it's the Polmos brand which I prefer over Bak's.

The order is placed, I'll let everyone know when I receive it!

Thanks!

FYI, looks like the order from Binny's has shipped -- I got the FedEx update in the email. I'll let you all know when it arrives!

The Zubrowka arrived today! I only ordered two bottles as a test, but the prices at binnys.com are reasonable enough that I might consider buying a case next time. Thanks so much to everyone for the suggestion...I will be enjoying some tonight to kick off the weekend!

Cheers!

On a funny side note, I went to a business trip to Japan recently and they apparently LOVE Zubrowka there -- it was in most Japanese bars that I visited, especially in the foreigner district of Roppongi!

Funny! :)
