I'm looking at buying an apartment in Kazimierz. Does anybody know much about this area? I know sort of the history, but is it a place to invest and buy a property?

How much would you expect a brand new 2 bedroom apartment to cost there?

Buying property in Poland (Krakow)

Does anybody have any good 'local' advice about buying an apartment in Krakow? Are there any areas to avoid?
Are prices still going up there?

Hi Krzys....

I am on my last few days of a two week visit to Poland, primarily to check out the property market in Krakow and Warsaw first hand.

From what i've seen there has been a slow down in the price per m2 in these cities , although they're still going up. Most experts say prices will continue to go up, but not as sharply as we have seen in the last 3 years.

Send me an email ; there are quite a few good developments with excellent investment potential in Krakow.

do a search on Kaka (member of the forum) - she has an apartment there - but from what I know it is very expensive on that side of town, lots of cool bars and places to eat always bumps the price up..

check out krn.pl to get an idea of prices, but Kazimierz is very popular so you may want to look further out.
