Buying apartment in Wroclaw

I was over in Wroclaw recently looking at a new apartment in the Srodmiescie district. Was impressed by the city but the apartment seems a bit far from the centre for the asking price. Is it thought off as a nice part of town?? Wasn't overly impressed by the area but not really important from an investment point of view as long as prices will rise.

uroman,

That's my part of town. The new blocks are nice. The old blocks are being done up. There is a new shopping/office complex being built in the area. It's 10/15 minutes walk from the centre. It's the oldest part of town apart from Rynek. It's a mixture of good and bad. People from other parts of town sometimes fear to tread here. Others say don't be stupid. Good shops. Good communications. A good place if you are renting to students.

Wroclaw is full of areas with what looks like rough housing. Don't confuse that with the people who live in these areas. We are good people here.
