I would like to congratulate to my Polish sisters and brothers on good profitable deal. After all, USA or Germany isn`t much more democratic countries then China. So, why give respect to them and not to China then. Why cooperate only with so called west and disregard eastern markets. Not to mention that countries and civilizations can affect each others more thru cooperation then thru conflicts. To say- that`s the only way.

It appears that you know very little of what actually is produced by the Chinese. Look at the recent stories in the USA of contaminated toys, toothpaste and animal feed. Most people didnt even know these products were produced in China before the reports. When a country the size of the US has to import dog food it goes to show the influence that Chinese industry has. This is why most western countries are now looking to China for trade agreements and alliances.
Any attempt to boycott ALL chinese products would cause numerous industries to collapse and seriously harm the world economy no matter how much people dislike the fact.

Then it's time to raise awareness about the products Made in China, don't you agree?
And why they are produced there and not here...under which circumstances they are being produced...all these small, little facts China want's to hide.

I think a broad movement can change this. A seller will offer products which sell, if "Made in China" doesn't sell anymore as well as before he will look for other products as alternatives...nothing will collapse but other producers will get a chance!
(Besides some cage somewhere in China maybe)

No, I think you will find that lots of people are well aware of where most things are produced, but because our governments allow products that are made in the sweat-shops of China that use child slave labour to be sold here....(the West).... producers who have followed the rules outside of China can't possibly compete.

How naive you are. The average guy on the street doesnt know or/and doesnt care where the product is from as long as it cleans his teeth/makes him coffee etc. Most people are so detached from the suffering of others that they do not care if a 6 year has worked for 20 hours a day to make his childs toy just as long as it does the job and is cheap.
The rules of supply and demand are what is making China strong.

Unfortunately, i know what the 'average guy on the street' is like having spent some years publishing public register/freedom of information data on the internet and working on government projects to get everyday information to the 'common man'. People who work 45+ hours a week for a 'meagre' paypacket are more concerned with how far their money goes rather than is this product 'morally sound'. As with most things in life, money talks and to the masses they do not care as long as the product does its job be it made in China or Taiwan or anywhere else.
Nike was critisised for many years for using sweat shops and child labour by the Press. Did it harm them? No, free publicity of their products. When a brand is endorsed by Thierry Henry/Michael Jordan/Tiger Woods who cares where it is made. It is a sad endictment of our times but unfortunately true.

We seem to be selling plenty of them in Poland...the Biedronka stores have just bought loads....

I agree because many Americans in my shop pick things up and look for a sticker on the bottom/on the packaging to see where it was made. They do this because they are looking for domestic products.

The problem is that the domestic product can be more more expensive, for example a coffee cup made in China or Taiwan will sell for $5.00 or so, but one made in the US will start at about 8 or 9 dollars. But if you wash the US made coffee cup in the dishwasher it will come out looking like it did when it went in, and isn't as likely to test positive for lead!

Last year, in my store we had a recall on costume jewelry because it arrived with stickers "made in China" and "may contain lead". How idiotic!

There was recently an email going around regarding rubber sandals being sold at Wal-Mart that were made in China and causing lesions on the area of the feet that came into contact with the rubber straps. The email was warning others not to purchase any China-made sandals. I would attach the pics here, but they are very disgusting to see.

So yeah, people DO CARE where things are made!

The Chinese should have their turn the same as all the great powers that have ruled this Earth at one time or another. What they do with that is what counts and lets just hope for fuk sake that the EU can whoooooop them if need be.

i doing that all the time. I (as majority of normal Serbs) have my personal embargo on products of false west. As i said, i found that products from Slavic countries are batter and I buy them even if there are available similar products from so called west or cheep Chinese products.

beside practical reasons- well known quality of Polish industry and ingenering, etc; Chinese possible wants to send clear message to Poland- `that there are profit even outside of Evil Union or North American Terrorist Organization`.

Seriously... i believe that there is Slavic connection behind this deal (maybe Russia gave some guaranties for quality of products). Or, maybe Serbia agangged this, to attract attention of Tu Tu Tusk.

We know that Tusk is Slavic traitor who acted even against wish or Polish priesident and Polish public but, that has anyhthing with Biedronka or with Polish products.

After all, how could Serbs survive NATO/mujaheedine assault if Poland don`t help a little investing in our economy.

Good deal...a Polish company will make money, and it means Polish jobs...much better deal than borrowing money from 'global' banks to buy American equipment.

Maybe someone should offer the Chinese some 3rd hand F16s....

traditionaly we had always good relations with countries like Japan or China, just because of Russia. Before WWII Poland cooperated with Japanise, especialy when in espinotage in Russia. Durring WWII Japanise abassy even they were offcialy German ally, supported Polish Home army. Chinese as I know symphatize with Poland (they see our relations with neighbours simillar to Chinese-Japanise realtions) as I know Chinese decided to make their "european business base" in Poland and they like Polish products just because they see us as their natural ally in case of Russia. There is one problem ... TYBET!
