Club Football in Poland

If I were to go to a Polish Uni and play football what are the chances that I would be able to make it to club level Polish football? Does anybody have any idea? I think it would be amazing to play football in Poland, and if not there then Scotland.

Anybody have any experience in this area???

I suppose, El-G, that it depends how good you are. ;)

If you work hard and play well for your uni team then you may be picked up for a lower league club (or higher league depending on your skill...).

Is that a threat!!! :D

Seriously though, I'm not sure about Poland but in Scotland there are four levels of club football so there would be nothing to stop you being picked up, the club scouts attend many uni games etc looking for talented players for league teams. It would depend on your ambition but playing in division three (lowest) would be satisfying (tough games but usually a well fought league). Playing for your uni team though, could be just as good as playing for any local team.

Pretty vague I know...

It runs my life. My entire schedule is built around football. I just don't want to ever stop playing the game :]

Nope, but if chances are better in Scotland I might start there and move on to other countries and teams. :]

Let's say I am an above average sweeper who knows how to run his defense...Is there an above 50% chance at getting to play some sort of club football?

The Highland League is not bad in Scotland either. My wee bro played for Rothes and Buckie Thistle. He has a busy job working for Conoco so he cut back on footie and went down to Junior level. Still some good clubs there too. I know a few things about the levels in Scotland

Precisley. I hope someone will come along who knows a bit more about the Polish side of your question than I do.

You're right, my friend's brother played for Brora Rangers. I think El-G wants to aim a little higher though.

We have in Poland 7 or 8 levels (depends what region). I'm not sure but Polish passport might be need to play in lower leagues. Beware of the lowest leagues, especially away games might turn very brutal for visitors.

Love a good scrap now and again. Not to seem arrogant, but I think I can take care of myself. Pops taught me a few things from his war days, and the neighbor's an ex-Navy seal who taught me a few maneuvers himself. Plus, I'm a big boy who likes to fight :]

I was thinking about trying out some amature boxing, but still thinking on it. :\
