I'd say the very beginning is "what's new happened to you" (co u ciebie nowego slychac). The rest I don't dare translate as if I'm not Polish and never studied Polish language. Sorry :)

Can easily be. :) It just seemed close to russian "chto u tebia novogo". :) Anyway... slavic languages have lots of "false friends".. so I might be wrong. I'm looking forward to see the real translation. :)

How the heck are you supposed to able to learn this language if when you translate something word for word it's not even what it means!

That's why electronic translators are so weak compared to the flesh variety. It's all about context, word order etc.

Don't get me wrong I understand it's not that simple but take the word "u" for example it can mean: at, with, by, on, from and in! I know, I know, it's all about context! but sometimes it's difficult to find out a context if several words in a sentance mean many different things!
