they can obtain a lot more in poland than we can with our money
not any more ... has changed fast, and changing even faster. my polish ex-mother-in-law lives on a pittance, but whereas once she could take her pittance to a little corner shop where everything cost 1p, she now only has the option of Geant or Carrefour or Tesco, where everything costs the same as the UK. If you think the UK is being raped by immigrant Poles, what's happening over there?? It's just our huge Western multinationals that are cashing in, instead of individuals over here working harder than us and cashing in ... whatever the scale, everyone's doing it. We can't complain.
I remortgage my house regularly to send my kid to a private school (that's another discussion) - and i pay taxes, and i get NO rebate that i'm not using the state school system ... so hey, that's at least one sweet-smelling, beautifully behaved little Polish darling who can take his place, and i'm happy to give it. Polish kids are cute and well-adjusted and go to bed on time. Not a bad thing.
