The main reason that there are long waiting lists for NHS dentists is fact that dentists make more money from private practice than doing NHS work.

Most Poles that I know in the UK head back to Poland for their dental treatment. As do many Brits - they get a better deal in Poland than they do at a private clinic in the UK.

If you like having teeth drilled and then re-drilled a couple of months later then Poland is the place for dental treatment. By time you have the same treatment done twice the price is actually more expensive in Poland. Thats my experience with Polish dentists anyway.

Is that your opininion or did you send a questionaire round 5,000,000 Scots to find that out? If so mine got lost in the post. But no doubt that is down to my postman being Polish!!!

I have been doing research as I have seen on a number of american films that the polish have been the butt of jokes in america for years.

Then I found a thread with people commenting the political correctness of such jokes. Apparently the americans consider the poles the 'mexicans of europe'

I nurse a patient who says exactly the same things, despite the fact that he knows that I know his I.Q is 56. It's like the vision of success for people with a lower grasp of reality than most and a somewhat stiffled and suppressed intellect -to study law at University. It's akin to a child claiming to another that his daddy is an astronaut.

An I.Q means nothing, practical ability means everything.
