What kind of tests take so long?

Some facts for you: a baby's heartbeat is detectable at 6 weeks.

What kind of defects do you think make a baby not good enough to be born?

Yup. Decorator and I have no qualms now. And Lef's Australian, he relishes the wind up, thats what he does for fun. (Although initially I may have missed the point), If I didn't disagree or wind Lef up he'd call me a poof.

I'm not looking for allies, I'm merely pointing out whats already written.
And why are you jumping in on her side anyway, wtf has it got to do with you.

You know what, thats it. Finally I've had a road to Damascus momment, I've seen the light. Actually what the f am I doing here. Why am I wasting my time.

All people do is judge, judge, judge, judge, me too now i'm being sucked into this stupid cyber reality with other Kunts.

You mean amniocentosis to exclude Down's Syndrome.

You can have a Down's baby whatever your age, it's just statistically more likely the older the mother.

Personally, I don't think Down's Syndrome is a good enough reason to end a pregnancy but that's my own opinion. So personally I would not even have that test.

my opinion 20 weeks is way to far into the pregnancy for an abortion

it is yes ...

but abortions can be carried out at the minute in the UK upto week 24 of a pregnancy.
and there is talk of lowering it!!!!

BPAS are the main UK provider of clinical abortions after a referral by GP/Doctor. bpas.org is their website.

No i dont watch reality tv shows because in my opinion they mess up an individuals life and some people just seek out their 15mins of fame and you should be happy with whom you are and what you have in life instead of chasing something that just isnt meant to be!

really? That's cool. These shows are just horrible experiments. I think they should do away with editing though.

Guest made her choice, myself as a female, I personally think it was made too late, 20 weeks is irrisponsible from a womans pont of view, Giles...you are not a woman so please dont comment...you have no right...but I do believe that a women has right to chose....as I have said the women will end up with a life long committment....And I will not condemn a women for her actions...

If its true its SHOCKING!!!!!!!!!!!

Way too long!

Embryo peels pain at that time so its unacceptale by me and Im all for abortion and free choice till 12 week. Later its too late.

I have no respect for a girl that posted earlier about her 2 abortions and with second she waited so long to force her boyfrient to marriage. Shocking.

I have no compassion for such people because of them there is common veiw on abortion like its now - that its a bad thing. But not always, its bad in this girls case definitely and she shouldnt judge everyone with her experiences. She did awful thing, waiting too long to force boyfriednd to marriage, and she feels pans of conscience now, rightly so!

Amathyst, have you ever been pregnant?

You stupid cow, it takes two to tango and I never wanted to force hi into anything.

And guess what - he married me anyway! Oh, yeah, I am still with the same guy. And guess what I never forced him.

Have you ever been pregnant? If not keep your stupid mouth shut.

I didn't post to get sympathy or respect, I know it was wrong. I was young and immature, I made the wrong decision. I posted because I wanted other girls who mauy be in a similar situation to know that abortion is not a simple process. 12 weeks or 20 weeks - little difference. Learn some biology and find out what a baby looks like at 10 -12 weeks. Abortion is wrong in my opinion except for medical reasons ie when the mothers life is endangered or the baby's. a friend of mine had to have an abortion because she had cancer and she had to start treatment straightaway.

Do you know how many abortions take place in the UK every year? And in Poland?
I think there are lots of stupid girls out there, I am not alone. Basically, we both did iot but I carried the can. Understand now, you stupid cow! Funny you didn;t say you had nop respect for my b/f and yet he was the older, wiser one.

What do you mean I shouldn't judge everyone? Who am I judging.

Are all Polish girls so opinionated? Thank Goodness I am British!

Stop calling people a cow. You sound very immature. You have to understand that that not many people are going to be sympathetic to your story. Once is ok, but twice?
And I haven't been pregnant either

I changed my mind, for ppl like you abortion should be allowed always and everywhere, please dont make children as patetic and brainless like you.

12 or 20 weeks? Thats a huge difference. I think you are the one who sould go to biology lessons.

Yes you are judging - you wrote that abortion is a bad thing - not for everyone, there are millions stories in this world but your story shows that your abortions were an awful thing.

PS. You may be infertility now after 2 abortions

PS2. pans of conscience - enjoy them, you deserve it

This is a touchy subject, prob should just close, as much as there are people for it
theres people against it.

Ola, I understand what your feeling, but so does Guest. shes now older and
has much more to deal with for the rest of her life. we cant see the pain thru
a computer screen.

When I was 18 weeks I had the alphafetoprotein test, which was three times higher
then the normal, signaling something very wrong. the two main things that my
doctor said was Spina-bifida, and or downs.

spina bifida is devastating. you can still carry full term, but chances of the baby
living were grim. I had a amnio done, which showed some bleeding, and the
spine connected. they later told me all tests were fine.

had this been spina bifida, yes, termination of the pregnancy was thought of.

That was a very serious, stressful time, because I never believed I would ever
in my life think of abortion for any reasons what so ever.

I am Pro-life. Circumstances in our lives change how we would do things.
Guest had admitted her wrong, she is living with it, but who are we to say or
judge her actions, she was young, very unsure, and the father was not helping
her to make decisions together. nor did he sound very happy.

I for one remember the pain I felt when I was told this news of spina bifida.

the second time I felt such pain was when I was in a emergency room with
my daughter, whom was only a year after birth. watching them attempt to put
a iv in her head as every vein was blowing and her sugar was only 8 !

watching them bring a crash cart out as they were getting ready for cardiac arrest!

I never want to judge/hate, and sometimes we cant conceal our anger, but
My pain subsided, I still have my daughter , two lovely ones, and every time
I think of Pain /harm coming to them, I think I would not want to live.

so put yourself there for a moment, this is what guest is going thru. like so many
others who had to make these choices and now feel Pain/regret.

Now I go take a break, as I cant see from tears, sorry folks.

hugs.
