The shotgun I used that day was a CZ-Ringneck 20 gauge shotgun. I like the smaller gauges. I have a 16 gauge as well as a few 12 gauges. The 12s I use mostly for ducks and geese and wild Turkey.
For deer I like my .243 Remington. I enjoy bird hunting more than Deer. I also shoot Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays. I do some pistol shooting, though not as much as I once did.

It should now be hunting season in Poland also. Isn't hunting and shooting an active sport in Poland?

Crazy Horse,

Write: hunting in Poland : in your search box. You should get quite a few results.

My wife is good at pistol shooting. She uses gas fired .22 pellets, for target shooting.

I couldn't hit a barn door if I was sat on the handle.

Wroclaw, seeing as how your wife is a good shot you had better treat her well.
Here's a photo of a day afield with my two sons, Dave and Gregory and my French Brittany "Patch.".

I also shoot targets with a 22, but not at animals. Just for fun.
I'm one of those strange people that will take home a runned over skunk and heal it back to health, and then let it go. People come to me with sick squirrels, crows, oppossums, water rats, abandoned duck eggs, wild turkey eggs, baby sparrows, baby rabbits, injured rabbits, runned over rabbits etc. and I keep them till they're well enough to go.
Yeah, I'm weird.
Sorry.

Ah Hah! Another Polish lady shooter. So now I know where I get my hunting/shooting traits from. I always thought they came natural. Now I realize that they are more "National."

But prosze, be careful with those skunks. A pretty lady should always smell of flowers.

Shooting isn't that popular as in the US (due to very strict laws regarding weapons' ownership), but hunting is getting more and more popular. Unfortunately, amongst bourgueois lowlifes as well (they shoot everything that moves at every time), who think that they become more 'elite' as they join hunting union.

Hunting is not as popular as it was, but in Pennsylvania we have about 1 million hunters. So you can see it has a pretty strong following. I'm sure that we have a great many target shooters for various disciplins such as revolver, pistol (semi-auto) rifle, black powder, shotgun, etc.

We have very strict game laws. Of course safety is paramount. Bag limits are set and we have game Wardens who enforce them. Going over your limit can prove to be very expensive in fines so hunters tend to abide by the regulations. Of course there are always those who are what we refer to as "game hogs."

America also has strict gun laws, but if your not a convicted felon you can own as may firearms as you wish. Naturaly there are those who don't choose to obey any laws and all countries have them. If convicted of a serious crime you can never own a firearm, you cannot use a firearm, and you cannot even handle a firearm legally.
