I am sure that many people do..... and if so could they explain the basics of the game to Michael Vaughan, Kevin Pietersen, Ian Bell, Andrew Strauss and the other hapless members of the England team.

Of course it is. We have 5 profesional cricket teams: Gorzow Cricket Club, Lubuskie Cricket Club, Warsaw Cricket Club, Countdown Kwik Cricket Club, and Polonia Cricket Club which plays as Polish Representation.

HAHAHAHA :)

with all due respect, Grucha, you'll have to go a while before you can call your teams professional. Professional players play cricket for a career and they earn the big bucks. The really big teams, eg South Africa!! :)), all play in the world cup. Poland's never been there have they?

There are a few cricket clubs in Poland.
Warshaw is mostly immigrant based but the one in Lubuski seems to have good local participation.

BTW, anyone followed today's Australia/SriLanka thriller (though it was a dead rubber).

yes, but somehow, it went down the wire. Australia from 107/0 while chasing a modest 221, got all out for 208.
Some consolation for SriLanka.
