Well, he's still with BMW.. that could be an excuse : )
But from last years results, BMW is closer than ever to be fighting for the podium each race. I hope they furthered the progress in the offseason, and that Kubica comes back with a very fast vehicle. We all know he has the talent..

I am hoping this new bolid is something that will let him finish all the races this season..
That was probably the only thing stopping him last year..
I'm going to be keeping my fingers crossed and darn, if I could only afford to see at least one race live, on the track.. ;)

You jinxed it! I just saw the results : (

Kubica DNF, so I guess he had a collision, but so did more than half of the field, so I guess he wasn't alone on that...

Arg !! Kubi out again, along with 14 other drivers. They were only 7 at the end. Hamilton (McLaren) won the Grand Prix, Heidfeld (BMW) came just after him, and Rosberg (Williams) is 3rd.

Well, now the time has come to go to bed...

Well a perfect race from a perfect driver Hamilton, just a shame that Kovalainen got caught out on the safety car otherwise it would have been a one/two for McLaren-Mercedes, although it was nice to see Nico Rosberg in third place.

As for Kubica it was his own driving that was his downfall in the end not having the traction control and consequently lost it on the corner, which was the same fate of many today.

This should be an interesting season now the traction control has gone. which puts more importance on driver skill and we should see who are the good drivers this year.

Raikkonen had a disastrous time going off three times before retiring with engine trouble; still good news for Hamilton and McLaren-Mercedes.

As for alsoran, nothing special.

No...

From what I hear, it was not his own driving responsible, rather the poor fuel strategy from BMW, (AGAIN) and a bad choice of soft tires for the 2nd phase. Later, Kubica was putting up times 3-4 second slower than Hamilton, and he just seemed to get slower as the race went on. It was a combination of a few things...

Sorry I stand corrected, as Kazuki Nakajima will be demoted ten places down the Malaysian Grand Prix grid for taking Robert Kubica out.

Yeah, he did quite well before... And Nakajima won 3 pts, even if he will be "punished" next weekend...grr... But i could bet that Kubica will have way more points than Nakajima at the end of the season... ;)

Looks like the Ferraris are out for revenge, getting a 1st and 2nd in the first practise session, with Hamilton and Alonso 5th and 6th respectively. Kubica came in 8th but its early days yet :O)

I'll have to get up early again tomorrow, the qualifications are at 7 am.
Kubica did quite well, at least better than Heidfeld, but both have a good chance for a good position in the qualifications, and why not a pole position, but i doubt it as we saw that the Ferraris and the McLarens are here again...we'll see ;)

I have to concede that "Alonso" is a dam good driver its just I don't like his ego on thinking he is god almighty and everyone must bow to him and give him preferential treatment.

As with going to Ferrari next year I am not 100% convinced on this one as I think the Renault team will be pulling out all the stops to keep him and he seems happy there a he can dictate whatever he wants and he could not do this at Ferrari.

This is what Formula 1 is all about Massa vs. Kubica at Fuji last year in the "rain", terrific scrap on the last lap of the race.
