I just read that the British GP is moving to Donnington in a ten year deal from 2010. Ah quiet weekend BBQs will be the order of the day

Good for you but bad for the British GP, Donnington is a terrible place for F1, and even harder to get to. They will have to do a lot of improvements to get it up to scratch.
I remember going there with my mate who was racing in the British 600 series motorbikes, and the pits are like my old bike sheds from school. :(

The article on the beeb site makes reference to the extensive planned improvements. You are right about its current state though. There must be big wads of cash promised with this deal.

I know its a little of topic but its a shame to hear that David Coulthard, a long standing F1 Driver has decided to retire, it seems a bit sudden to me considering to weeks ago he was discussing how he wanted to help Red Bull grow as a team, now though he is quitting at the end of the year. I for one will be sad to see him go, he's given a lot to the sport over the years and good luck to him in whatever he moves onto

He said what he meant and will be staying on as an adviser to the team.

The pits....are the pits , as they say.....I agree that they will have to spend a lot of dosh to make it up to formula one standards...but then formula one is not exactly short of money.....I too raced bikes at Donnington , had my first big crash there , coming down the craner curves , lost it big style , hit another rider , and went cartwheeling across the grass....ah...happy days....

What did you race wildrover, my mate Nik Robards raced CBR 600's and came close to winning the championship. But he was disqualified in the last race at cadwell park, because he was on the forth row, and took all the riders into the first corner by going up the inside besides the pit wall and it was deemed dangerous riding.
I have never seen anyone so angry in my life, he kicked the stewards door in and I swear he was going to grab him by the throat lol

The next year he gave up on the British championships and went and won the Dutch championships lol

Practise 2:
Looks like the Ferraris are lagging a bit, "surprise !"

Probably before my time i suspect....I started off with an RD400 , i guess that dates me a bit....moved onto a full race tz350 and tz250...then went international racing on an rg500 , up against the likes of Barry sheene....It all ended in tears at a practice session in 1980 at Brands hatch....a big crash , wound up on life support...long time out of racing....gave it another go when the new 250 tzr came out , but i was not as fast any more....gave it up when i crashed at Langbaurgh in teeside and smashed my shoulder to bits...mind you i went out and raced again a few weeks later to make sure i had not lost my nerve...then i packed it in.....

Cheeky bugger lol no it was after your time in the early 90s. And the CBR 600s came out in 1987 after your time :)

I had another mate who had a club foot, and raced in a side car as the passenger with his brother, and it was a push start.
So when the flag went down and Mark pushed like hell but tripped... his brother went into the first corner full speed and the bike just went over, it was so comical and I was trying so hard not to laugh. :)

SO WHERE ARE ALL YOU HAMILTON BASHERS TODAY THEN????? Kubica = Out, Kimi = Can't drive in the wet, Massa = Embarrasingly bad in the wet, Alonso = Hasn't got the package under him!!!!

So let's here why Hamilton was so bad today then?? why didn't he deserve his win this week??? I'm so pleased for him after the media and some people on here have been bashing him like there's no tommorow, I JUST LOVE THE SOUND OF YOUR SILENCE.

It's quite easy really tornado, if you know nothing on a subject then you just follow the loudest bleat from the media.

People do not like Hamilton because he is so confident and slightly arrogant. Although personally I cannot agree with the latter, because whenever I have seen him interviewed he comes over as a very likeable guy. And you name me one F1 champion who has not been aggressive and arrogant!! You have to go back to the Gentlemen days of Juan Manuel Fangio, Mike Hawthorn, Jack Brabham, and so on, but even they were "assertive"!! :)

What you hear in the media you can take with a pinch of salt, an example was when Hamilton moved to Switzerland to escape the moronic media, then he is invited to Nelson Mandela's birthday gig and is accused of being a hypocrite by the media in, quote, "lapping up the attention along with all the other publicity seekers".

This seems to be a historical fault of our British media, as we seem to love the "almost succeeder's", and take great pride in our sports men and women who nearly got there. Look at Eddy the Eagle, everyone in the world has heard of him because of his failure at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary Canada, because the guy was a joke and couldn't jump in the ski jumping.

And yet when British sports actually succeeds the media slaughters them.
Look at Nigel Mansell, the media was always criticizing him for being a moaner after the Australian GP in 1991, where he twisted his knee and had concussion after he aquaplaned off the track and was angry that the race was not stopped due to the rain. Incidental, the race was stopped after Senna refused to go on because it was so dangerous.

The inexperience of the Polish media with F1 is time and time shown when you read copied material from the British media slating Hamilton. This I find is the reason that people like Grzegorz just criticize Hamilton, because they are incapable of forming an objective opinion due to their low knowledge on the subject.
