milawi - | 60 25 Oct 2014 #3I've quickly checked google and yes, there was a cinema called Iwanowo in £ódź, it doesn't exist anymore. Iwanowo is one of the sister cities of £ódź.
kpc21 1 | 763 26 Oct 2014 #5Ivanovo opened in 1977, the music club moved there in 2006. I don't know when did it change name from Ivanovo to Adria. According to this article: lodz.naszemiasto.pl/archiwum/wspomnienia-ze-starego-kina,339412,art,t,id,tm.html- in 2002 it still existed (being called Adria, the name must have changed quite a long time before). The first multiplex cinema - Silver Screen - opened in 2001, the next one - Cinema City (still the newest and the biggest in the city, although a new one is under construction) - in 2006. With the advent of these multiplexes, almost all small cinemas in £ódź (at the peak time there was 33 of them, in 2002 there was still 11 cinemas in £ódź) were forced to close. Only one still operates and competes with multiplexes - Bałtyk. Another one - Tatry - changed target and now it's playing older films, being kept in life with much difficulty by one person.
