OP polonius 54 | 420 25 Nov 2012 #31Tonight they showed the last instalment of the curent Czas Honoru series. It was a rather far-fetched plot about Polish ex-AK freedom-fighters outwitting and outshooting the NKVD in Warsaw. But still it's nice to see a poltical thriller set in Polish surroundings for a change instead fo all that banal Bondesque nonsense that surrounds us.
Gr33k 1 Sep 2013 #33Merged: Czas Honoru !Hello all. Im Greek and soon resident of Warsaw. Lately it was brought to my attention the TV Series "Czas Honoru". Even though i am planning to learn Polish it is really hard for me to watch it without english subtitles :P I have been searching everywhere online without any luck. I have seen the first season and have the episodes of second and third season for now but cannot find english subitles. So my question is if anyonw knows any polish site or something that may have subtitles for this TV series it would really help. Thank you all in advance :)
Looker - | 1,134 1 Feb 2015 #35Nobody knows for sure, but rather not. The last one was not great in general, but of course couple of threads looks not finished yet (like usual - we should get used to it watching Polish TV shows..)
RadomCat 1 Feb 2015 #36The reason I ask if Czas Honoru [Time of Honor] season eight is in the works is because season six leaves viewers with too many unanswered questions about the fate of surviving characters in 1946 Soviet occupied Poland. Season seven skips back to the 1944 Warsaw Uprising [wonder why the producers didn't do that after season four??], so again, no closure to many important character threads/story lines from season six...I wish I could read Polish because maybe some of the Polish-language blogs might shed some light on all this...
Puolatar 1 | 7 26 Feb 2015 #37I can tell something about Czas Honoru ;)My fiancée loves it. He got hooked to Polish history even more by watching that (he has been already earlier very interested in it). What is also a huge asset, he has been studying much, while watching. I have to admit that his Polish is a lot better after those 7 seasons of CzH ;)And I like it too. But for sure, it was good to my fiancée, that he was watching it with me, so I could easily and fast explain him some small issues, that are usually unclear and hard to catch for foreigner ;)
