Many Polish Americans love Poland more than some native Poles.
I think Polish Americans who came from Poland, as children, love
Poland more than the ones who came from Poland as adults.

because Poland was once a great place for the kids - no commercials (pressure), little income disparities, no jobless parents, loving grandmas and good food - I can't tell if it is still a great place for kids

Yeah, and
"czy się stoi, czy się leży, trzy tysiące się należy" (No matter you stand or lay, you'll get 3000 wage)

"Jak naprawdę jest nikt nie wie, elektronik kradnie w TEWie, a chłop pije - ale jazz!" (Nobody knows what's real, electronic engineer steals from own company, and the farmer gets hammered - that's the jazz!".

Beautiful times.

How old are you, Gumishu?

The term Plastic Pole sounds funny to me. I never knew such a term existed until I visited Polishforums and I was astounded that such a phrase was coined in reference to Americans of Polish descent.

It means you look Polish, but you're not really an authentic Pole haha. It's like, if you saw a manly looking guy who was really domesticated by feminism, he would be a "Plastic Male."

It seems if you do not live in Poland you are known as plastic although I know a lot of people who do not live in Poland feel more proud of their Polish heritage than people who are from Poland and want to leave ASAP. It might be that if you do not pay taxes in Poland you cannot be considered a true Polish person, or at least some people think.

Whenever I see the word "plastic" I think of credit cards or Yoko Ono.

Neither have I. I get it and all but just have never heard it used. I guess the term is used back in Europe, not in Poland.

LOL women can do that to a guy these days. Especially is you let them dress u.

this term is used a lot in the UK to refer to those English of Irish descent who make a big deal of their 'Irishness', e.g. 'Plastic Paddy',

kind of a double whammy of offensiveness....

How can you be? You're unpatriotic scum if you willingly avoid taxation. Funnily enough, many PiS-voting patriots think nothng of exploiting the Government, and they were at it during the PiS Government too.

Yeah but you can be Polish and pay taxes in another country, still being patriotic. I am not talking about tax avoiding while living in Poland. How did you manage to bring PiS in to this topic?

Oh, we're talking about different things.

PiS voters are notorious for claiming to be patriotic, while doing all sorts of unpatriotic things.

moved from:

There's more poles in Chicago alone than most polish cities. So do you consider poles who live abroad to be plastic Poles? Surely people like pjp2, Pulaski, Curie, Chopin, Anders, etc aren't plastic Poles despite living abroad many for the majority of their lives.

Turd world migrants are arguably the biggest problem that the EU faces which Poland belongs to. In fact migrant crisis is one of the top searches on Google out of millions of key words. It affects Poland dramatically to the point where even the government namely the mfa made a video about it, which jewtube repeatedly censored (the goyim know - shut it down!)

people respond to my posts more often than others

Because you trash just about every thread going and people are fed up with it, not because you have anything remotely interesting to say. Rich is no different.

sorry for your thread getting closed

Not your fault, I could see the way it was going as soon as the usual suspects decided to trash it. It won't get reopened, that doesn't seem to happen much these days. Pointless starting any new threads to be honest, it's just a waste of my time.

The UK has far more influence on Poland these days than America does

Not really. The only leverage UK has against Poland is the possibility of Brexit. A ton of families have moved back to Poland. Also, there's far more Poles in the US than UK. Second, the USA has a far, far more important military relationship with Poland. We Poles learned our lesson counting on the Brits in WW2.

A ton of families have moved back to Poland.

Statistics? Pure PIS propaganda. Once Polish families move to to the UK they stay there.
About there being more Poles in the US than the UK - you are of course referring to "plastic" Poles, who for the most part have a name ending in -ski, but have never stepped foot on Polish soil.

the Polish in the US arent really Polish, they are Americans., as their forefathers arrived so long ago. Beats me why Americans are so wary of being Americans.

I'm one of the few actual poles here who..........grew up in the culture

of the USA. You grew up in America, not Poland.

i mean, just because someone has a name ending in -ski, doesn't mean his granny wasn't a Cherokee, AFrican American, Pakistani, or Italian...

it would be almost amusing if it wasn't so sad.

it's like me claiming to be Irish because we had some Irish relatives who would come for high tea from time to time. You know, drop scones, jam, pot of tea, ham and egg salad, fruit cake.

Then going on a forum and lying about who i am in a confused manner...

..and then going on an Irish forum and giving it large about the evils of immigration to/from Ireland.
Do you see how silly that would be?

Once Polish families move to to the UK they stay there.

I'd like to see numbers on that. My impression is that almost all Poles who go there intend their stay to be temporary before they bring some cash back to the ojczyzna but... life gets in the way and between one thing and the other they mostly end up staying and just visiting family a few times a year.

Absent draconian repatriation measures all large scale immigration creates sub-populations in the receiving country and more people end up staying than political analysts predict.

About there being more Poles in the US than the UK - you are of course referring to "plastic" Poles

I'll have you know there's some 20 mil poles living abroad than in Poland itself due to the large diaspora. But according to you all those people are plastic Poles... All 20 mil of them.

This is the exact same question I asked Milo which he refused ro answer.

If a pole moves abroad is he or she considered a plastic pole? Are all of them considered plastic Poles or just some?

Because according to both of your reasoning people like pjp2, Pulaski, Curie, Chopin, anders, Copernicus and a whole long list of poles would then be plastic Poles since they lived outside of Poland - many of them for most of their lives. In fact most of the famous Polish heroes lived abroad. Go tell a patriotic Pole that those Polish heroes are plastic Poles and they'll lay you out real quick.

Furthermore how many can you check all of these boxes?
Born in Poland, speaks/writes polish, polish citizenship, polish blood, has property in Poland, and grew up in the culture and traditions of Poland. Atch I'll have you know we celebrate wigilia, wielkanoc, etc and not the American version. I don't even speak English with my familt

That's right, almost none of you. There's maybe one or two people who can say they are all of those and even less who can say all that plus live in Poland most their lives.

So bow down to those that are actually Poles.

Pure PIS propaganda.

Nope.

Poles aren't too keen on moving to the United Kaliphate anymore
neweurope.eu/article/poles-no-longer-immigrating-to-the-uk-head-to-scandinavia-ahead-of-brexit/

Again, thousands leaving..

mirror.co.uk/news/politics/thousands-eastern-europeans-leave-uk-13127071

At the same time, 47,000 departed - giving a net migration figure of minus 2,000

Sure most will stay. But nonetheless tens of thousands already left with more to come. And theres no more coming that's for sure. They have no reason to now that Poland has a great economy and wages are much higher. Not to mention they won't have to deal with all the kebab and clown world.

famous Polish heroes lived abroad

Chicago and NY has more Poles living there any other city besides Warsaw.

they're not Poles, they're mixed heritage Americans. Sorry.

and as for " They have no reason to now that Poland has a great economy and wages are much higher " - what does that even mean? If Poland had a 'great economy' then half the population wouldnt have left, like rats from a sinking ship, would they? no.
