Czesc everyone,

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Im a 24 year old free spirit/artist/ entreprenuer I currently live in vancouver canada and will be returning to poland for the summer and maybe longer???.... vancouver is boring me......Im addicted to travelling- I EU Railed it from Poland to Portugal and back, partied in ontario and quebec, was a beach bum on the coast of California, and recently backpacked Thailand..... I love art, I paint and sometimes write music. I live to watch, listen and/ or feel all types of art whether it is dance, music, visual art or an experiance... I run a clothing business through contacts in asia via the internet( and am always looking for new designers to work with or buy from around the world).... I also am passionate about basketball, I played on a college team in vancouver and want to try out for a polish league team....I will be in krakow for the summer and am looking to meet some cool people prior to arriving. I plan to get job in a bar in the old town, take photography and art classes at a local art school and run my clothing business while im there. I will also be backpakcing to greece sometime during the summer. If anyone has similiar intersts message me I want to chat , or has some advice on some funky bars to apply to where i could use my english and polish, or any contacts or ways i could go for a run with a bball team, or any advice on art schools in krakow im all ears. Looking forward to talking to you all.

Cheers Nazdruwko,

Cyprian

Hi Cyprian. I'm also an artist. What's your favorite media and what do you like painting the most? Do you have any samples of your work?
I attended the Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych in Kraków. Very good school. And the Jagellonian University in Kraków also offers art classes.

hey krysia, thats cool that ur an artist...I prefer oils on canvas and occiasonally pastel, and pencil crayon on paper.... sometimes depeding on the peice im making i will use all 3. so far my work has been personal but I am going to be having an exhibit early in the new year and then i will make my work public.. most of my peices are beaches, surfers, beach bunglows, and occasionally portraits of freinds and family. How about yourself what sort of media do you paint? Would you know if I being a polish citizen would have problems getting into any of these schools because I have lived most my life outside of poland?

I'm going to be studying abroad in Kraków next fall. We start sometime in early October, are you still going to be in Kraków then?

I'm actually a business major here in the U.S. In Poland I'll just be taking general ed classes that are required. Mostly classes about Poland, like politics, history, literature, I think there's even an art class I could take.

I'm an accounting/finance major, with a minor in Polish. This study abroad is being done through my University here in the states, they register us for all the classes and get it all set up. I'm not really sure in your case, but I don't see why you would have any problems registering, especially that you have Polish citizenship.

yea... charcole is very cool and great for shading... I have experimented with it a while back i just found it was to messy.... i prefer soft pencils.... but its all a personal choice as art is never wrong and is your own expression.
