Hi:

My name is Donna Karczmarczyk.

A woman I work with lost her mother from cancer. This Christmas is very difficult for her.

I want to get her a Christmas ornament engraved from her mother to her.

Her name is Teresa.

Her mother called her Teresa in Polish, but I can't remember the spelling or pronunciation.

Could someone help me out with this?

Thank you,
Donna K.

The spelling is correct. Teresa.
TE ( like in ten) RE (remington) SA(sausage)
accent on the "RE"

My Aunt spells her name..Theresa. The pronunciation is the same in both spellings.

If possible look at some correspondence that your co-worker has received at work to
verify the correct spelling.

Theresa in the english spelling. Your aunt must have changed it. I know people who came to the US and Americanized their names because they didn't want to stand out.
There is only one polish spelling, and it is Teresa, unless of course she Americanized it too. Then you're right to check it out kochana-babcia.

Krysia...Thanks for the info. I always thought that Theresa was the Polish version and
Teresa the American version.
