Katyn memorial Mass and film
Sunday, April 13, is the 68th anniversary of one of the largest deportations of Poles, estimated at 350,000, from the Eastern regions of Poland to the Soviet Union . The Polish Scouting Organization of Illinois invites you to participate in a memorial Mass at 1:00 p.m. at the Jesuit Millennium Center , 5835 W. Irving Park Road , Chicago ; after Mass, at 2:15 p.m. there will be a special screening of the film "Katyn," directed by Andrzej Wajda and recently nominated for an Oscar in the best foreign film category. Admission is free but donations will be gratefully accepted.
There will be a second showing of the film at 4:45 p.m. , before the regularly scheduled 7:00 p.m.Mass.
(We suggest you find street parking to avoid being blocked in at the Millennium Center parking lot.)
