IT IS a tool of division and it always was
Religion is a way of life. Where is it in religion that you opress another person or make him/her accept that your views are better then his/her? Just you can put your views, and learn his/her views, and be free to judge which one is better for you.
Religion has always come in definite time intervals, with solution to that time. We know about this when we look back at the rhythm in which the Prophets and Messengers have come to the earth.
Recently I am studying the Baha'i Faith: (www.bahai.org) or, (www.bahai.org.pl). We have to study the nature of religion, before making it look like a something else, just because of the lack of our understanding of its goal.

It's just a nice dream
What is just a dream?
- Integration?: Look around you to the world today. We have more sources to knowledge. We know our world better than what we knew a hundred years ago. We are more curious. We have more options...we can see more clearly and more distance. We can talk with people more easily. World is fast becoming a global village. Dont you think that all this also was just a wild dream once? Yes it was a wild dream... but a true dream... for the few who dreamed.

All wars in the past and present were based on nationality and religion.
To wage a war you need an excuse. The reason is greed, power, lust and everything material. Also, to put oneself over the other (which is a product of complete lust/pride/ego)
Religion has tought us to give cure and service. To love and be united. To lead a good life, and love humankind. To have morality. It has helped us to think positively.
One of the more importing aspect or Religion also have been its set of laws for that particular period of time. If you study the laws in relation to the time it was revealed, you will find out its effectiveness and modernity.
Religions have never been the reason for division. Look at the Bible and its recognision of all the past religions, and its respect for them. Its claim to be the present form of religion was just logical. We do move to class 5 and class 4, dont we? It that any extremist movement?
Love for religion is good, but being stagnant and closing the minds reasoning process is extreme.
Nationalism is man-made. Love for once country is a natural effect, but when we take it to the extreme and make it a tool for our materialistic feelings (which as I always say is not Human Nature, but Human Weakness), then it is evil.

do we really want to be all the same? Do you want to erase ethnicities, nationalities, religions and make it one?
Which one would it be?
If we all must be same, then who can stop us? We are human, and human nature is to be free. No one can keep a human in bondage for long. The greatest gift to humankind from God is the free will and independent thought. Each individual is its own world. They will decide.
About me wanting to erase ethnicities: Who am I to want that? and Who is anyone else not to want that? Who created ethnicity? - I know I didnt!
When God gave me birth to this world, he did not ask me for my opinion on where to give me birth, and what would be my color. The process of human evolution also always had its own rhythm. If we finally someday do come to a point of union among all ethnicities, I am sure that it will result in something new and more diverse. The world will step into its next phase wheather we want it or not. Whichever phase it enters, I believe it will be positive for us. As my firm belief is: Today is always better than yesterday, and tommorow will surely be better than today.
As again I always say. The world has always moved ahead, and it will not stop if we stop. The only thing we will acheive by stopping ... is to be stagnant.
