I am living in Gdansk permanently and I am available for employment from the 24th January 2008.

I am qualified to teach English, I have a lot of expereince in administration, transport and logistics. I am interested in any type of employment, however I do not speak much Polish.

You could also pro-actively send your CV to agencies such as Manpower etc that are based in Gdansk for work :)

English you need to fit the schools critiea to have a position ie certain qualifications ... but place an advertisement in a newspaper or something to teach privately

You also would be advised to try to start learning the polish language if you intend to live out there .. just a general observation ...

but good luck :D

I have TEFL and a degree and I worked as a TEFL teacher in Warsaw. I've just moved to Gdansk and looking for work. I just wanted to do something other than teaching.

I am learning Polish, I have started lessons but as I'm sure you know it's not an easy language to learn quickly!

I will look at Manpower when I get back from my hols in the UK.

Thanks for your help.

It certainly is a fab tool but I just can't find anything. I'd like to do something other than teach but I'm stumped as to what, where, how etc etc you know how it is.

I left the UK last Aug with my Polish man and drove to Amsterdam where we were planning on starting a life however Amsterdam didn't work out, I had a job already guranteed in Warsaw to start in September so I then drove from Amsterdam to Gdansk where his famliy are from and stayed there till it was time to start work in Warsaw.

We both decided Warsaw wasn't for us, we preffered Gdansk but also he had family problems with ill parents and grandparents as did i in the Uk so as Gdansk is so accesible to Doncaster airport it was the best for both of us. We're alot happier but both just need work at the moment. He's ok cos he's Polish but that just leaves me :(

So thats' my story in a breath ha ha :)

Hi Claire,

so good to hear you!

you see...I'am tweested and reply later then you... All bcs my work :/ I live in Gdansk (Chelm area) and I could have lessons always in the evening or maybe in the aftenoon after my job. I should finish my work at 4.00 pm. My office is situated in Gdansk, close to Old town. The problem is that I have business trips quite often. Its depends on time, sometimes it is once a month few days but sometimes it's more often. I thought about one meeting per week. Would be better twice but I'm afraid I'll not manage. We can talk abou it. For me it is imprortant to have the possibility to change lesson time when I have business trip. If you still interested would be nice to meet each other. I'm out of Gdansk at 31th and then between 4th and 13th of Aprile. I'm writting you my mobile: +48 502 064 503 and my private email: monnia1@wp.pl

best regards!
