English people attitude towards Poles?

i am 27 and have 2 boys and i think the youths of today are a mess and the things they do and say is a disgrace. alot of ppl blame the parents but i am not so sure on that as my 10 year old son got involved in a group and he started to change and he started talking like a black boy or i think they call them rude boys but i soon put a stop to that. just thought i would share that with you all as i am so bored at work

A coalition government consisting of the League of Polish families, Samoobrona and the so called "Law and Justice" party is a disaster for human rights in Poland. The League of Polish families (and Samboorona) have openly voiced hostility towards the Jewish community in Poland, they sponsor youth hate groups to attack the gay community and the authorities take little or no action to combat the rampant racism that is so prevalent in your part of the world. You do not have to be an expert researcher to quickly establish that many of the parties that make up your coalition government have a history of right wing nationlism and bigoted ultra catholic rhetoric.

The level of racist attacks and the conviction rate for such attacks is an indictment of the Polish government. Their complete failure to tackle this problem suggests two things, incompetence or complicity.

How can you look at Andrei Lepper and say your government does not hold high the flag of bigotry!!



It was my brother in law. Its not gossip. He had to leave Poland because of the repulsive racism that he experienced at the hand of the Polish and when he looked to the authorities for help received none.

While it may be acceptable in eastern Europe, its not compatible with the UK. Of course you get racists in the UK, and I fully believe your story about your friend. I find her beating just as repulsive as I find the treatment of my brother in law in Poland. There is a difference however, and that difference lies in the number of people in England who would behave in such a way compared to the number of people in Poland and the reaction of the authorities to such an act.

Freddy, if you voiced your objections to Polish immigration in a more controlled manner with a little (well, alot) less venom (and racism) people might listen.

While I am not comfortable with the level of immigration from Poland to the UK, you'll find alot of the Poles here (in the UK) are actually quite well qualified and do bring something to the country (albeit skills that are rarely utilised).

You're right about the pay being forced down . Our government would do better to address the welfare state and the scum that it sponsors (to be lazy) rather than look to other countries for workers.

As for the BNP, they are thankfully never going to get anywhere near the corridors of power. Populist campaigning in poor white areas may have won them a few seats, but thankfully those areas are a minority.

czesc!.i am an english guy who left for france on a bicycle in 1980 when thatcher came to power;i didnt speak a word of french at the time but stayed there for 5 years and even did a state sponsored course to learn to be a cook.after that i caught the train to west berlin,again without knowing a word of the language in 1985(ah,the good times before the wall came down).i have been here ever since but next year i am going to move to poland to a farm ....i want to say that is vital to follow your gut feelings...then everything works out for the best.not without problems to be overcome but just follow your gut feeling and dont worry or try to get a lot of people to agree with you...just do it...peter

Well im english and have no problem with any body, I tink polish people are the best im 19 years old and have the best polish girlfriend in the world she is teaching polish now and i go there in 1 week for the first time in my life and i am most happy for more polish to come to england the come to work and live just like everyone else but the the packies make there life hard over here.

Hi ,i'm noob to this forum and after reading some of these responses thought it time to post , this is a subject i find quite interesting at the moment as it is very topical in the English press at the moment (as you may gather i'm english living in the south east) and as i don't/didn't know any Polish people i was wondering what was happening to this country with the influx of not just Poles but all of the Eatern Europeans coming over . But i can now say that after finding out for myself and not by just sitting there reading the papers and watching the news that then Polish people i have come across are very hard working , friendly and polite and i can see why employers would rather employ from other countries than try and fill vacancies with a lot of the time wasters you get in this country .

I was talking to a Polish girl at our local seaside town where she was working and she told me some of the things she had had to put up with for doing her job properly which included being spat at ,sworn at and kicked , this shocks me and shames me to think that this is the impression that can be given of England . So i would rather live and work in this country with people like this girl than some of the english scumbags u find in these towns.

And this girl is only here for a short time so she can pay for her education (studing psychology in Poland ) and not here to try and screw the benefits like some think , this is her second summer in England and she said it is a lot worse this year than last and can't wait to go back to Poland and has no intentions of coming back to England , what a shame that this could be the impression that she could be going back to Poland with :-(

I've a Polish window cleaner and he is very good. BUT the Polish people over here are putting strains on housing and social services - Slough and Southampton councils are already saying they have too many Poles and that central government isn't giving them enough money to meet the increased needs. My wife teaches in a local primary school and the E European children make up quite a large percentage of the new intake and their lack of English causes problems and holds back some British children. What's the right number - probably enough as is now. Also the polish people migrating to the UK are causing problems back in Poland and hindering their economy. The main problem is that the UK cannot cope with 600,000 people coming in every couple of years.
As Poles head for Britain in search of work they are abandoning pets in their hundreds at animal sanctuaries across the country. Up to 1m Poles are estimated to have gone abroad this year alone.

Isabela Dzialak, head of a kennel at Celestynow in Warsaw, has collected 180 abandoned dogs since the beginning of the year. she said “People go away to England and to Ireland and we have so many dogs coming in we can hardly keep going. I won’t tell you how many dogs I’ve got altogether because I’m already under pressure from authorities to kill off the old ones.”

Recently London has seen a marked rise in the number of rough sleepers from Eastern European countries such as Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland, and dozens can now be seen camping out in the Royal Parks and in shop doorways every evening.

Westminster City Council said an average of 40 Eastern Europeans sleep rough in the borough every night, and more are arriving all the time.


But some arrive with no money and then struggle to find work, leaving them no choice but to doss in places such as top tourist spot St James's Park, overlooked by Buckingham Palace and Downing Street.

Earlier this we heard the tragic case of a Polish economist who came to England hoping to find a good job and create a better life for his family in his homeland. Unable to find a job he slept rough and eventually hanged himself with just 26p in his pocket.
Westminster deputy coroner Dr Shirley Radcliffe called the case "very, very sad" after the court heard how Mr Gryc had despaired at his new lonely life in London and ended up taking his own life two months after arriving.

"He gave up on life because he hadn't been able to find a job", she said.

His body was found at the foot of a tree in Brompton Cemetery, south west London, by a member of the public.

Mr Gryc had in his possession two passports, print outs from job websites, two pictures of his wife and eldest son, two keys, 26p, one euro cent and a watch.

However, there was no suicide note and Dr Radcliffe recorded an open verdict, saying said she could not be certain he had intended to kill himself

If your account of what is happening to some of Poles in UK is true, it is a very sad story.

Lots of people get depressed without a job. Maybe they should build more McDonalds and Pizza Huts in Poland to hire more workers????

Being from Australia I can only say that EVERY Polish person I have met have been warm, friendly and well mannered. I wish there were more here and I can't understand how anyone would have issue with Poles.
I am in the position of travelling anywhere from october, but Poland is my first destination. But please tell me there is more to the cuisine than smoked eel!! haha My ex's father only ate smoked eel! Pierogy was nice though

I live in the mid-west in America, and Poles are Very much welcomed! They are educated, cultured, moral people who bring so much into the American culture.
When someone from Poland arrives, it makes the front page in the newspapers, everybody wants to meet them, they are babied, they show them around town, take them out to eat, take them shopping, etc. University Professors come from Poland and speak about economic problems or other issues in Poland. And a lot of people come to these lectures.
We even have a sister-city in Poland. Gulcz.
Yes, Poles are very welcome here.

Yuk... I cant stand smoked eel! My grandparents in Poland are a little obsessed with it too and give me weird looks when I refuse it! I stick to the other polish dises like pierogi and golabki (my mom makes the best )... and of course indian meals

I like Indian dishes. Where I live they organize Indian-days once a year to collect money and send to India. They have Indian music, dances, art and of course - FOOD!!!!
I love the curry they use. Once I had curry fish over rice. Boy was that ever good!!!!!!!!!!!!

Curry is awesome I just don't like to cook it in my house.

Gues who, how can you produce such cretinous bile? I'm ashamed to share my country with you. I live in a predominantly asian area (I am a white Englishman) and my experience has been that it is the Polish who make the lives of the non-whites difficult. I have been both amazed and disgusted to see young Polish men trying to start fights and/or hurling abuse at non-whites with absolutely no provocation.

Tension exists between Poles and non-whites because Poles have a reputation for having racist tendencies because of the behaviour of a significant number of their fellow countrymen.

And what about the enlish like u? At least India was about to get rid of people like u. Trying to take over every land. Treading all natives and non-british like slaves.
