HI Beth :) i'm Tornado, the one who other people were mentioning. I guess you already have found out that i'm not keen on the idea of people posting looking for romance, well to be honest i'm not. You seem to be somebody who kind of proves my point.

However after reading your posts after your original one i can see that you have considered a lot about approaching people in your local area. It's a shame that you cannot apporach people publicly or in a more 'life like' environment than this one. I'm sure your a great person and you need to let other people see that rather than leaving a few words on a forum.

The only way you will learn how to approach people is by trying and yes probably making a few mistakes and getting rejected a few times, whats the worst that can happen, nothing.

I'm guessing you don't approach people either because of past experiences or just lacvk of self confidence, eitehr way you have to allow yourself to meet others in a natural environment and there is not time to start like the present.

Everybody else is going to be stunned due to the fact i'm not baraiting you for posting on here looking for a partner, the fact of the matter is, you have come out and said 'i have a problem meeting people here' which to me is good old fashioned honesty which deserves both respect and a well constructed answer or reply.

its a shame though coz my uncle used to go out with a polish girl and she had some male polish friends,who all live in my hometown .he has split up with her now though and i dont see her.i dont know her phone number or address.i only saw her a couple of times and never met her friends

again PD i don't really know what i've said wrong here or anything close to what i normally say?? :)


of course it takes a bit of Dutch courage sometimes but ther are other candidates too you know, University, work, social clubs etc its not just alcohol and pubs that offer potential partners.

there are plenty of people out there for you no matter what part of the world there from, what city they live in or what they do for a living, you just have to find them, sometimes it takes a while sometimes your dead lucky :)

Sometimes when people get rejected it is the absolute worst thing that can happen, it can take some people months to get over a rejection!

It's just not so easy for some people to begin convo's etc with complete strangers in a bar.
