HI there. We are an English school in Starogard. It's a shame you don't live a little closer as we need a teacher a.s.a.p. (Unless you fancy driving 150km 4 days a week ;-) )

What sort of Polish goods would you be able to sell and at what kind of profit though, and also wouldnt the customs and excise soon jump on you once they notice what you are doing, im sure they check out sites such as ebay for illegal trading....

I think your best bet for finding a job is to look for an English teaching job, or something manual like on building site because surely that must be drying up considering most of the polish tradesmen are in England making more money.

However I dont like the fact that you seem to be pinning your hopes on your aunty dieing to get your hands on her cash, are you sure thats not the only reason you are still in Poland and not elswhere looking for work, just making sure knowone else gets in there ? Bit shallow..

Why dont you take a look at fit outs. There is massive demand for finishing apartments to (white standrad) at the moment. Thats one of my business diversities.

I NEED SOME WORK.... I am an English man aged 46 , living on my own farm in Ostrowice Poland...I have a good standard of education and speak good clear English...I am afraid i can speak only very basic Polish...I have worked in two English schools in Poland as an English speaker , but have no formal qualifications....I have transport ,

Do you have a home in England to which you can return if need be? I think that it will be very hard to find work in Poland especially if we have 600,000 Poles in England now working in the U.K. I know there is the famous English fireman working in Poland but then again, there is only ONE! If you are rich and can afford not to work then Poland could be a good choice but if you are desperate for cash then only crime would pay!

Exactly what is the point replying to a job request just to say you would not give them a job......I suppose the kind of tosser that phones up every car for sale advertisment to say you don,t want the car.....I doubt you will ever be in a position to offer anyone a job , and if you were , nobody would take it......If there is anyone else who does not want to offer me a job , don,t bother to tell me eh , do something usefull instead.......

I reckon a web based business might be the way to go, mate, just for the interim period you could always try labouring, odd jobs.

Another way to go is if you can locate any WW2 military memorabilia as it fetches some good prices at the moment.

this is my first post on here, other than the introduction page, and would like to say that some of the replies to this thread have been most uncalled for

Anyways i now have to wait untill my aunt dies , so i can sell her house and start again....In the meantime i have to eat ,

I just seen this and I am very disgusted.. no further followups need be said. this
says it all in one sentence and tells a story about the character of one human being
who I thought was better person.. I was wrong. shelley was right to have said
the things she said, if people cannot make their own way thru life, then WTF good are
they? Unbelieveable!!

I know... i am so ashamed of myself... buying a house for my aunt , and then selling it when she dies , disgacefull... i will of course give it away to somebody , and continue to struggle...thank god you perfect people put me on the right track.....I didn,t realise that asking for advice or a job would cause such upset for people....I shall in future avoid making any posts that will bring replies from the eight people who seem determined to get rid of as many people as possible from this forum....

i think you miss read the meaning, he didnt say he wanted his aunt to die, he just meant that untill that happens he cant make money from the place he bought for her.
as you read more into the post, you can see that he isnt banking on that money, but trying to find a job so he doesnt need to depend on that flat.

At least Wild Rover is trying.

There are loads of people here in the UK that life off the backs of everyone else !

As Taylor says he is not banking on her death (which would be wrong) he is just job hunting and made us aware of the facts.
I say good luck Wild Rover.

and as has been said, what is the point of coming on here to slag people off ?? Honestly I do not understand the reason... anyone ?

yes I did, I apologize for that. it looked like to me that he was saying that he was
waiting for his aunt to die so he could make some money, thats what he said, but
didnt clarify this..

I didnt know that he bought the place, and I jumped the gun, willing to admit my
wrong, but you have to admit the above does sound very bad.

if he would have said I had bought a place some time ago for my aunt and she is
ailing and ready to die, and weve done all we can for her, soon as this occurs, I will
have that flat back to rely on for income to help me get thru .. then yes. I would have
not even thought twice to write with such haste..

sorry Wildover.. and I do hope things get better.
