The German minority in Paraguay came into existence with immigration during the industrial age.

Notable Paraguayan Germans includes the former president of Paraguay Alfredo Stroessner.

A good laugh! :)

With no British team good enough to make the finals that start next week, the Guardian wants to find a new team to support, and we need your help. Our poll has narrowed the field to four - Spain, Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands - and our expert panel has added a fifth: Romania. Each day this week, a celebrity supporter will make the case for one of the countries.

Once again Polish public TV predictably f&^%ed up the rights to broadcast the matches, maybe because the vultures at the satellite providers bought out the rights early and are charging too much for the pleasure....do people here from other countries have a similar problem or is it as we suspect a typical Polish problem....?

In France, at least 3 different channels are going to show Euro matches...only one of these 3 channels is really public...

You can safely scratch Holland!
The dutch are disgusted by their team a poll showed and yesterday they brought in the news that football officials are openly thinking aloud that a weak Holland comes them cheaper than a winning team....there is no spirit left!

Seems to be a Polish problem .... here in UK we'll be able to watch all the matches on either BBC1 OR ITV.
I'll have to check what TV package I have for Polish TV as I'd prefer to have to Polish commentary.

I'd love to see Polska do well ....... to win the tournament would be fantastic, but realistically I'd be happy with good performances and a semi-final appearance. Having said that, if Greece can win the tournament, then why not Polska; if Leo has our defence well disciplined and we have lady luck on our side then who knows what may happen :o))))

If it's not to be Poland ..... I have a soft spot for Spain ..... and then Italy.

For any of you who're in Warsaw, we've got a tiny contest to predict the Poland-Germany score: http://nwe.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=130

well poland have a good team they play well as a team and have passion and pride playing for there country and i think they will win it..you can have all the best players in the world and they might just not play well as a team...but people watch out for portgual they are due to win a major honour. italy were lucky to win the world cup they should not have even been there totti dived in the box in the last minute against australia. and for spain they have great players but just dont think they are good as a team

If musical taste is concerned, then yeah, I support the Czechs (led by a Bruckner no less!)

After having worked like a coolie and simultaneously survived a Wagnerite break-up last month, I am finally awarded with a partially free June to enjoy the Euro and support my beloved White Eagle. As desiring as any true Pole here to cheer the team as long as possible, I believe there is only one game that is really worth to summon all the force of your proud and pure Polish lungs: The Germany game. If the Poles have a positive result in this one, they will definitely go very far, even the Final. If not, I doubt the 3rd match would be taken into account when Pan Binhacker orders his team's return flight. So without any further uber-transcendental speculations,

GO POLSKA, EAT THE HUNS!!!! (spare their bones though!)

Hey boyo, you know what I meant already, "the German game" as in the context of Polish team's Euro Campaign. At other time, I would not bother to clarify like this, but, ahem, consider the presense of a dim Kraut fella...

I don't understand what your problem is :)
What satellite? Are you unable to receive Polsat?
I thought in Warsaw you wouldn't even need a real antenna on the roof, just a fork or a piece of wire in the TV antenna socket.
Wait, you don't have a TV???
