If we manage to get 3pts against Austrians, then Croatia and Germany could too..... :P

Sure but every game is different. If Austrians lose first 2 matches then they will become desperate to not look like asses and will try very hard to get at least 1 point with Germans and that would mean that Germans lose 2 points, which could be extremly important.

Yep. I hope we won't need them to draw...Poland must win its 2 first games, then the last one would almost be a "friendly" match ;)

Games:

08.06
Austria - Croatia
Germany - Poland

12.06
Croatia - Germany
Austria - Poland

16.06
Poland - Croatia
Austria - Germany

Hopefully it won't end up with Austria and Germany needing one point each from the last game for both of them to go through ...... this has been the scenario in a previous World Cup I believe , and there was no surprise that the game was boringly played out to a draw.

Actually it was at the World Cup 1982, and Germany won 1-0 against Austria, but it was enough for both to go further in the competition... ;)

turkey is by my opinion among 2 or 3 worst teams on euro.

then poland is the worst team of the tournament cause turkey is definitely much better about club level, players or successes in national level. look at last 10 years and compare. we had unlucky events in last 3-4 years but right now much much better.

With all due respect to Turkey which is to me a really good team, Poland's history is good. Last 20 years were quite "empty", but Poland was twice 3rd of the World Cup and once (if i remember well) gold medal at Olympic games ;)

1978?

Yeah probably...they finished 3rd of 2 World Cups 1974 and 1982 (pretty sure of it) and the gold medal is around that time, so yeah maybe 1978 ;)

Well, but that's last 3-4 years, which really matters. How many players of those, who played 10 years ago are still in the national team ?

yes i know that poland was really good before. i don't say you are a bad team right now either, poland is a good team. i obviously don't think poland is the worst team of tournament(it's austria:P), i just told like this to the ones who underrates turkey ;)

i don't mean we totally changed to a crap team since 3-4 years, just unlucky. from 2002 there's emre, nihat, yildiray bastürk and they are sitll good players. plus now there's hamit&halil altintop, fatih tekke, tuncay sanli, aurelio and some other young new coming talents.

Poland won the gold medal in the 1972 Olympic Summer Games in munich.

club level means nothing.you got rivaldo and carlos in turkey, lots of foreign mercenaries.or just look at england.does good club level means anything?

turkey isn't weak team,it's just weakest team on euro.teams that play on euro are all strong, more or less.

it means something, when clubs are succesful they get more money and they can build better investments for their young teams which means better upcoming young players.

yes look at england, it's a big surprise that they couldn't join, they have great players. maybe their manager was not good enough or team couldn't get motivated well. they have potential to win every tournament they join.

also rivaldo plays in greece;)

mmmm, I think the weakest team in that Euro is potentially Austria, Poland is hopefully much better, Turkey as well. Do you know a lot of Austrian playing in high-level european championships? Even Poland has more. And tactically speaking, Poland has proven that they can make it against any team.
In my opinion, the game which will decide polish qualification will be Croatia: a loss is allowed against Germany, although there is always a chance ; victory against Austria is an obligation. Then Croatia will be the most decisive game, and the toughest one I think, even harder than Germany, for which Poland will have the highest motivation.

Hmm...i really want Poland to beat Germany ;) I can support Germany against Italy for example, or against Portugal, but Poland must win this game :) If they beat Austria 2-0, and they draw Croatia 1-1, then everything will be okay ;)

Germany are close to being the strongest team in Europe at the moment but Poland can easily nick a point from this game. Beenhaaker will get his tactics right and even outplay Germany. Croatia also have the flair to match Germany. If Poland play a stormer against Croatia, they can win but I favour a draw. They key is who will slip up to Austria.
