probably a good idea to sort the roads first

oh i found that an experience the road heading to Krakow - i believe somewhere between wroclaw and krakow anyways . . as last time i was in poland was march 2003

one minute smooth ....... the next ... duuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrr ddddduuuuuuuuuurrrrrr went the coach ... then suddenly smooth after the overhead baggage had thrown into the middle into the coach .... then without warning ... dddduuuuuuuurrrrr dduuuuuuurrrrr again

But well done POLAND on securing the EURO2012 game
Wonder if now is the time i would be ok to walk about in my polish national footie shirt (this seasons) hehehehe

Is it that good idea? I can see some minus points here. For example pushing prices up. Not happy about that at all.

congrats poles,do you think it will repay yourself?i mean do you need to build new stadiums to meet some standards or you got old ones?
in my country(croatia) everyone was convincted we shall have euro, but i was betting for poland and ukraine because i think you two got about 80 million people together,or more.so thanks for winning me 100 euro:)
i am glad italians lost.their football nowadays looks like chicagi in 1930's,mafia,killings etc.anyway they didn't earned to be world champions either, because in 6 matches against croatia in history, they didn't beat us never, and they lost 3 times.

I am though a little worried about how the Polish populations view on English people may change after seeing our football fans in action.

sorry to inform you old chap, but england will not qualify.croatia will be first ,then maybe russia or israel.

There does always seem to be some minus point’s ola. I think that the good outcomes the bad in this case.

Yes, there’s a lot to be done, but I think it'll be worth it.

oh BIG time, the countries tourism will soar!!! which means HUGE benefit for the Polish people in money for businesses, taxes to go into polish economy, spending on infrastructure etc etc

Pro's FAR outway the cons.

I wonder - would you (ola123) be giving out if poland didnt get it? 'ah that's typical, what is wrong with our country'

truth is, this is great news for Poland & Ukraine

Coming back to Euro its probably big opportunity etc though cant see it yet except hihger prices for football fans (and citizens btw). At leat we will have a few stadiums and decent roads. Oh almost forgot - A HUGE AMOUNT of joy .

As a tourist I wouldn't like to see the Euro in PL. I have too much fun vacationing there and actually being able to afford stuff I think PL tourism will suffer greatly.

Congratulations, Poland!
I hope both our teams will be able to get to the final game.

Does anybody have a link to video of our common presentation?

You can visit for up to 90 days without a visa if you are from the EU and a number of other countries. Check out their official websites.

And it's a lovely country, expecially round the Black Sea. Odessa is brilliant

This is how the officials voted :

For Poland and Ukraine : Thompson (England), Lefkaritis (Cyprus), Villar Llona (Spain), Springer (Holand), Kołoskow (Russia), Madail (Portugal), Sandu (Romania), Erik (Turky).

For Italy : Platini (France), Mifsud (Malta), Mayer-Vorfelder (Germany), Omdal (Norway).

Nobody voted for joint Hungry-Croatia bid

I heard Platini would back Poland (that's what he said when he visited Poland), but apparently that wasn't the case.. Germans - same story.

Platini (France),

Is this the same Platini who was all for supporting the less well represented nations in tournament hosting? Two faced or what?
