Coverage from this tournament will be shown on either BBC or ITV (Germany v Poland Sunday 8th June BBC 1945 (BST) ). Here's more about the schedule. Other matches will be shown through the other ITV channels and BBC Interactive.

The article was written in January so many of you may have read it. There's certainly going to be more coverage than what I thought there would be :)

myself i knew about this, however its very good informaiton for those who are not so informed about the tournament. So good idea to post this PD.

I'm not sure who i'll be supporting as neither England or Scotland are in the Euro's, i will have to pick another team to back both financially and physically :)

Thank you shopgirl for adding that :)

I'll be supporting Poland without a doubt. :D I'm already arranging to not be working at the times they are playing their group matches anyway :)

You know if you get stuck at work and you are dying to know what is happening, there is this website that my Bratski found for me....

URL

You find the match you want to follow, and load it on your pc screen. When the game starts you can watch the dots run around the screen! It's so.......cute! :)
It shows the stats for each player, shows each time a goal is made or a penalty given.
It really is kinda fun! :)

I set this link for a past game between Poland and Estonia.....
If you CLICK on one of the little football on the time bar, it will replay that score event for you! Try it! (Number 10 Lukasz has the ball and kicks it in for that goal)

Bratski was watching a game on tv one night and watching the computer too....he said the timing is only off by a second or two!

I love watching the dots, the ref, and the ball on the screen. But when they all stop in one spot, and the play stops, it kills me not to know what happened! Was there an accident? Was the ref call disputed? Oh the suspense! hehe :D

Well, that's good to know. Some of the score tickers I use are sometimes out by a few moments. I will use this site, although I hope to see all the Polska games but it will be very useful indeed :)

Oh yes, that could be a problem! So you don't see any of the dots being stretchered off then? haha :D

I'll be cheering on Poland but will be having a bit of a soft spot for Germany. Germany used to be the main team I disliked but I've met so many nice Germans who have nothing but respect for the Brits (despite the fact that we tend not to reciprocate this feeling) that I'm going to be a big man and do my bit to even things out.

Allez les Krauts!

I also read that German women have the smallest waists and biggest breasts of any nationality in Europe.
I'm going to a stag do in Berlin later in the year so I'll be able to confirm if this is true.

I think I'll opt for Coronation Street this year. I'm not watching the Euro 2008. What a pile of wank.

Well first of the spanish aren't going to win it their bottlers for sure. Gerry may win it but i hope not. If you ask me there may be a shock victory for somebody like Croatia.

As for Poland i think you'll be lucky to get out of the group stage, i'm a big fan of leo but i don't think the Poles are ready to take on europe yet.

England, well what else is there to say apart from, miss management from Mr. Mclaren. All those who were slagging Sven off, well he wasn't actually that bad was he :) I'm looking forward to a new era under Fabio Capello after all he is was manager to a club of mine Juventus so i already know what to expect from him, strict ways and trophies :)

thnx

Mis management maybe, but if all you need is a draw (thanks to Israel doing us a favour) and you pull back to 2-2 and still can't hold on and defend for a draw then do you really deserve to be at the finals. Wasn't a tough group, and should have qualified easily if the players had heart and the desire to win. As for Mr C, well a result against the Swiss ain't nothing to get excited about and the loss against France, well, business as usual.

I'm at the stage where I've accepted we're going to win nothing so would just like us to play well. For this to happen every player should feel like their place is under threat. This isnt the case with England.

Maybe Castello can't, maybe I'll agree with you.... but Capello can :)

It's all a matter of time before England are a force again. The sleeping giants will wake. You can see it already in the way they play... slowly but surely getting there with the passing movement :)

Capello ensures that the champion of next Euro will be "France, Italy and Spain."

That's exactly why England didn't desserve to qualify, I don't know anyone who suggests otherwise. Having the best Centre Half in the world means little if you pick joke keepers for an entire qualifying campaign.

As for the games against France and the Swiss.....give Capello a chance FFS!!!

You have less chance of winning this tournament than England...which is saying something.

Yes i would agree with that Kilkline. When was the last time we played well, Germany 5-1 and before that Holland at Euro 96. Watching England is never enjoyable, always tense. Lets hope Capello does change things and makes changes in the side, maybe it's time some of the big names were left out for some fresh blood, otherwise we will continue as we are, a side full of big egos and some individual skill that can't gel and play as a team in the way we all want them to.
