IMO It could've been done in a more tastefull manner instead of mocking. It just appears childish. None of us like to have our nation bashed, but having the correct response is what matters :) Some people; regardless of what's said, can even gain respect for a well thought out retort.

Agree with you 100%, Fisz! I have more respect for those who can articulate without bashing someone else (not saying I've never done it....we all have). There are some I do not care for on this forum, based on their rhetoric and negative postings, but I do respect them when they can respond to a thread in an intelligent, mature manner.

What a guy that Fisz is ;)

I wouldn't mind reading that article, Peterweg....could you link it or give us some clue as to who wrote it or who the ex-ambassador was and to what country?

East Africa.. maybe Washington post 2-3 years ago. Finding it could be a problem and it will be subscription only by now.

if your country wasnt so full of ignorant bumfuks with their heads so far up their arses

Funny thing, they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I guess we're just like England. Except for the fact that we can fight our own battles, we don't need other countries to save our butts from total submission!

I quite like many Americans. Doesn't add much to the debate but I thought I'd say it anyway. Have a nice day everyone.

THANK GOD nobody was stupid enough to try to start an England town ! I mean who would go out of their way just to eat boiled beef and look at women with crooked teeth and no chins! The last English person with a chin was Churchill and he had SO MANY chins he looked like a Chinese phone book!

Fisz, he needs to apologize to the forum members ( English) because he drew first
blood.

it was totally uncalled for and out of line. I could see his patriotism if he had a valid
post to show that someone actually was bashing at that point,

Mr America..... your prevoking them to fight..
thats not what America is about..so in turn, you deserved what you
got, because you started it, and I see this is a problem you need to resolve..

America does have its faults, as does the Uk and Poland and anywhere else in the
world.. and if you dont find the faults and fix them , you only make the situation
worse.

I hope your apology was to the British members of this forum. we all might not see
eye to eye.. but I would rather see with both , mine and theirs cause least I know
someones got my back.

Cheers :)

It's a little beyond at this point because he obviously didn't heed my advice and said sth very rude to Bwoo(which was edited incase children were viewing). For some, there's not much hope I guess. I tried. I know that the other forum members don't think we're all like him.

Hey man, you need to quit talking crap about the Brits. You make us look stupid. Being a Brit or an American, it doesn't really matter, what counts is who you are. I got many British friends and they're fun. Besides we're all united in beer, so drink one on me and shut the hell up. Have a good one man.

All of us in the US are always way too nice to respond in a mean way, but Mr America dared to. Sometimes you need to use "bully's" language for them to understand. A nice respond doesn't cut it.

americans are well advised not to rock boats... the world tolorates them, barely, some of us dont even need an excuse to tell them what its all about... its like a large dog that is fine as long as it sits quietly in the corner not annoying anybody but as soon as it gets out of hand it needs to be shown how to behave in public

If this is his honest opinion then so be it. Hard to tell if he's messing or serious. It's too bad that British humor isn't so easy to sense all the time :) Are you OK today b woo? Need to talk?

First. I am NOT your mate! Now, Mr. Bubbawoo. I have come to the realization that I have been lowering myself to the lowest level (yours) just to argue/debate/answer your comments. Like my mother always said "if you argue with a fool, you put yourself on the same level". So, from this point on I am no longer going to pay any attention to your bias comments. I refuse to lower myself to your level(obviously uneducated and bigoted). I would also like to take this opportunity to apologize once again to all the other decent members of this forum that I may have inadvertently insulted with my obnoxious behavior in attempting to defend my country and my people. We Americans are far above the cultural level that I have shown in my haste to belittle someone who's comment obviously are NOT WORTH THE TIME to rebut. From this point forward I will just consider the source.
I look forward to being an asset to your forum instead of lowering myself to bubba's level and disgracing myself and my fellow Americans
P.S. You say I am a redneck, there is NO name that is more common to the American redneck than Bubba.Bubba has long been the most popular nickname used the southern U.S. “BUBBA”. Obviously that screen name speaks for itself!.

Mr. America

you apologized thats enough, but bubba also is only defending his country.
maybe a better understanding between you two is in order.

he also said he * likes * us Americans so going on and on about it and not
seeing that his part was warranted because of your constant badgering which
you did apologize for so its time to buckle this up..

you pride wont suffer, and neither will his on here because we all know and
understand each other .. bubba is a well known member and we all have learned
from each other alot that we didnt understand before..its not going to make anyone
look bad if you two just shake hands and blow it off :)

Find your happy places gentlemen :))) weeeeeeeeeeeeee..

I believe that the world as a whole is spiraling down hill a little worse each year. Violence and immoratlity are increasing more in the last century then in the entire written history of the world.

Americans, because of our freedom of speech, house many of the idiots that are causing this, but not all of them. Freedom of speech is a wonderful concept, but when it allows this speech to include messages from people like the ones who belong to NAMBL (National Association of Man Boy Love) which promotes pedophilia and instructs men on how to lure/entice young boys, things like this should not be included under free speech.
America goes way toooo far to the Left. People are so worried about offending others and being politically correct, freedom of speech has become a joke.

So, if the Europeans have some bad opinions of the U.S. as a whole, I can totally understand it. However, the key is not to judge as a group. There are many individuals in America that do not like what is allowed to go on here either.

How exactly has America saved the UK, 'fought our battles'?

In WW1 the US went to war, for amoung other things, the Germans tried to get Mexico to invade the US.

In WW2, Japan and Germany declared war then attacked the US. They could have waited until Britain was defeated or gave up but fortunately Britain was still fighting the US's war when the US decided to join in.

I'm sure most Brits and Americans will agree we are in a partnership or alliance because the two countries have two different things to bring to the party when it comes to things like the war on terror

Britain: Has the brains to run the operation and the specialist knowledge on hand the think and carefully plan a strategic strike

America: is the Brawn of the operation with the man power and the weapons

Its a simple but effective relationship and this is only an example taken from one part of the alliance with the states there are many others that conclude the same thing. What is better than bonding two nations that are as powerful as ours. I am happy to be in alliance with the US.
