Eurovision Song Contest: Isis Gee to represent Poland

Isis Gee, who I love, is to represent Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest.

She is Polish/American. [Tamara Gołębiowska]

I've got to say that the song 'For life' is not my favorite, but I wish her well.

Your thoughts please.

Well.. First of all, we have to remeber that the eurovision song contest is not a festival of high quality songs, so i think that the song "for life" is a good choice. Poland won't get very high probably but we always don't (except of Edyta Górniak)

If the song had been Hidden Treasure she would have walked it.

I also notice that she now has a Polish version on her web-site. Not the song, but text, if you know what I mean.

Each year (or almost each year), i watch the Eurovision. But the votes are not very objective...you vote more for a country you like than the quality of the song, not depending on its nationaliy...
So Serbians will vote for Croatians, who will vote for Bosnia who themselves will vote for Albania who will vote for.......Kosovo of course ! That's why Russia is against the independence of Kosovo, cause Russians want to win the contest... ;)
A personal thought, what about a Yougoslavia song...it means that all ex-Yougo countries would all be together for the contest...this way, they wouldn't vote for each other as they usually do, and Iceland could have the chance to win at last ;P

Why didn't the Super Hero song win? That girl can sing!

She reminds me (Sandra Oxenryd) of a cross between Celine Dion and ABBA :)

Oh well....

To be honest I never watched any of the qualifying rounds. Maybe the fact that she had already represented Estonia, and never made the final, counted against her.
I'm just guessing.

I really don't know. I didn't even know the preliminary rounds had taken place until the next day.
Isis Gee was on the radio a lot before the prelims, doing interviews. And I have known about her for quite some time. That's why I'm focusing on her.
I think I will check the other songs on youtube.

DUSTIN is a legend :P :P tho dustin has better songs than he has entered :P
but the polish song seems fine. but its not really about singing anymore. thats why ireland has even let dustin enter just to show what way the eurovision has gone and knowing the way it is i could see it winning it lol anyway with all these countrys voting for nations beside. this year ireland 12 to poland and poland 12 to ireland :)

but honestly this is 1 of the entrys that dustin beat

and if it was about voice and song she would have been there for ireland because its a nice song and she has a nice voice

Eurovision is where Riverdance was created and we all know how much the world loved that!

Dustin is indeed a legend :) But to be honest, they better can rename the Eurovision Songfestival into the Eastern Europe Songfestival; last few years it's quite disgusting, this brown envelope-policy that is going on there. The winner HAS to come from some E-European country, it seems. No wonder that big countries like Italy have pulled out. There is no way they can stand up to all this. So, I basically don't care who's gonna be the representative for Poland, she's probably gonna win anyway.

M-G (still a bit shaken from that attempt to rob him at knifepoint last night)

You are my friend - I will make sure you get the most points if you give them to me. Works better in a workrelated environment, though. Friends get the better positions, even though they might not be suitable: they're friends, that's why.

M-G (in Holland we call this the "Friends-policy" - everybody knows what it is, but it's kinda hard to explain. Hope I made it a little clearer to ya)

Have any of you seen the father ted episode when even though they are the worst entry they still win.
just so thier country will have to host it the next year and spend all of thier money on the competition and adverts etc

i believe it that the country who wins is not the best but the one that was tricked into hosting it...cos every one no's is a tacky comp and nobody wants to host it....lol

saying that i watch it every year somehow not out of choice but it just happens :)
