You're complaining because there is nothing to do apart from go to the pub?! You've got a bird and she can't drag you to the theatre/opera/shops/Ikea/etc but you still get to shag her (I assume) and go to the pub. Sounds like you've fallen on your feet there!

Take the bus/tram/taxi to the city center and never ever get bored. Very simple solution.
And what to do all day.... hmmm. let's see... working perhaps ?

I can understand actually :) Im was born near there. Apart from close copper mine there is nothing :)
Try Aqua Park in Polkowice and Leszno and lakeside is quite close (so thats your summer activities :)
Also Lubin has some good shops (especially new shopping center) to offer. There is cinema etc.
Wroclaw is always good option to go or equally far Poznan :)
Good luck :)

Hey Ajb,

Im over in Leszno which is not to far away if you fancy meeting up? I've been over here a few months with my Polish g/f so would be nice to catch up with a fellow ex-pat!

Certainly are lots of horses out that way, mostly attached to carts plodding up the main roads....
