First of all, you should never pay for incoming - that's a standard (an exception being when you are using roaming feature abroad).

19 gr/min is good, but do you have that to everyone or just inside Orange?

When I wrote Play or Era I meant my recommendation for them - I am an Orange customer and Era too and the level of service in that two is poles apart (in favor of Era). Play has also very simple tarifs (while Orange deliberately mekas them complicated, don't know why).
What kind of features do you need except calling, texting and internet?

Travelling over next year, can anyone recommend a cheap solution to calling back to the UK?

I'm on O2 and it costs a flat rate of 0.35 GBP per min (1. 4zl ish) but my phone is locked to o2 so theres no way i can stick a polish pay/go sim into my phone.

What would be the cost of a cheap polish pay/go phone with sim card and the rough cost of a call (per min) back to the UK?

Any advice (except not calling back to UK) greatly appreciated.

Dziękują

So any network is fine. My recommendation: some pre paid option at ERA, Heyah or Play.
I've had huge problems with Orange and their complete lack of quality service so I would never recommend it to anyone.

- prices start from about 100 zloty for a new phone, e.g. cheapest nokia models

- just checked it. it works but it's so long time to send anything that whole idea of instant massaging by sms or skype goes to hell. I won't use this, only if I have too much time. I don't know about other providers and this service, however Orange does not support PTT (or MIM) service whereas other do I think.
