Also, can anybody advise me of prescription availability and costs. I require some pain relief medication Co-codamol ( 500mg paracetamol with 30mg of codeine ) which is a prescription only medication in UK. Is it available in Poland, and does it have the same 'prescription only' status here too? there is Solpadeine - 500 mg paracetamol + 8mg codeine and Antidol 500 mg paracetamol + 15 mg codeine availabale without prescription
if you are not alergic to paracetamol just take 2 tablets of Antidol to have a similar effect to your own prescriptions
there are other such mixes but I have no idea if any of these contain more than 15 mg of codeine per 500mg of paracetamol - you need to ask around in pharmacies - just use it written down on a piece of paper if you can't speak any Polish (paracetamol + kodeina - and doses per 'tabletka') - though spelled the same as in English the word paracetamol gets to be pronounced differently in Polish
as for codeine - it used to be sold as a separate drug before in Poland but the time's long gone - now only sold in mixtures as far as I know
EDIT: I have just found there is Antidol 20 pro which has 20mg of codeine per 500 mg of paracetamol - but I am not sure if it is available without prescription
