Hi, I am looking for used, second hand stuff in Wroc³aw. I have been to the Sunday morning market by the Real, Castorama shopping centre in the NE part of town, which is awesome. I picked up a bike and some tools and odds and ends.

But I have heard of another antique or flea market to the west of Rynek. Also I see a few references on the web, but I can't seem to locate them on Google Maps. Does anyone know when or where to find these markets? Any other tips on finding good junk? i.e. old falling apart antiques, miscellaneous garage sale type stuff, tools, clothing, etc. Is there an antique market at the end of each month?

I am interested in finding out ALL the best ways of scrounging and salvaging up junk here in Poland. I am working on getting a car so I can go further afield to the surrounding towns.

Any tips are appreciated! I will compile the locations onto a Google Map and post it here.

Thanks

ps- sorry for posting this in the wrong category... I can't figure out how to delete it or change the category

there was in one Niskie £±ki on a sports ground in the past - it was held every sunday - but I have no idea if it is still there -

edit: well it was apparently moved to the vicinity of Korona shopping centre in M³yn Su³kowice - Korona is on Krzywoustego street north of Odra - if you have to use public transport take a tram to plac Kromera (tram no 6 finishes there trams 11 and 8 go further to Kowale so you would have to ask someone to tell you when to get off the tram) and then take a bus in Psie Pole direction - you can also take a walk from plac Kromera to Korona but it takes some 15-20 minutes - http://wikimapia.org/13128283/pl/M%C5%82yn-SU%C5%81KOWICE

Much appreciated. I too was hoping to find some great flea markets in Poland. The closest I found was an outdoor bazaar in Lublin, along with a couple over-priced antique shops.

A sincere thanks PF, for putting up with me FIVE terrific years, muah!

Take a look on a flea market on Gnieznienska, I bought an old clock there, I'm satisfied. But everything depends what are you looking for, on Gnieznienska you can find almost everything what can be transported by a van :)

I'm planning to visit this market in the next week, note that this market exists only the last Thursday-Saturday in every month. The best time for shopping is Thursday early morning :)

Are Polish flea markets still full of nylon wigs and silver torah pointers?

That's exactly the kind of stuff I'm looking for... cool antiques & collectibles :)

Awesome. I have a pretty good list of places to check out now. I've added all of them to a google map. Check it out.

I will definitely have to check out that monthly one at Gnieznienska next week.

Thanks for the tips. I will also keep an eye out for things entering the 'dump' in my building's courtyard from my kitchen window ;)

Me too :) I have few interesting pieces of furniture at home. Currently I'm looking for some cool old lamp to my living room which would look good near the fireplace.

Thank you so much for the map of flea markets and hours, it's a really valuable resource!
I'll be sure to update if I come across any new info.

i wouldn't call that a flea market. it's more of a regular market. mainly clothes, shoes etc.

You;re right, I didn't read OPs post in its entirety. He sounds like a hoarder of junk so my suggestion is not very helpful.
