True enough! There was a comment to that effect in a series where foreigners comment on life in Poland. I think she was Peruvian-Polish. It's a great series.

I think that parents teach there boys from a young age that it is ok to **** anywhere. This past week end I was at the sea side at a beach bar. There was a family of four sitting next to us- the kid had to pee but instead of taking the kid to the bathroom, which was literally 15 metres away, the father pulled the kids pants down so he could **** in the bushes next to the table where we were sitting. seriously. why is this ok.

Same crap in the UK - it seems to be common in Europe as a whole. No idea why it's acceptable - but then again, society fails to do anything about it.

Mind you, I've shouted at a few morons for doing so - the sad part is that it's practised by all parts of society, not just stupid people.

To be frank Seanus at some places they charge 2zl for doing no 1's, I saw one person walk out in disgust and just done his business in full view of people in the subway, I suspect he purchased a can of beer for what he saved...The lack of public toilets (no charge) is a disgrace in Poland.

Most countries don't have free toilets in Europe - though you can normally find one quite easily if you try.

(free toilets tend to be in a terrible state)

yup, seen that at a train station couple of days ago but truth be told there is no toilet there as it's only a small station. still! and yes it's notorious at the beach in most places but i also noticed a lot of small kids still run around naked on the beach in PL and hell knows who's watching them apart from their parents, there are perverts everywhere these days :/.

without bringing the pediophelia factor into all this- my issue with naked kids is the lack of sun protection- I also don't like seeing naked kids because I don't need to get a view of little johnnies butt while he bends over to pick up a shovel. It is all about consideration for your fellow person.

exactly, people should be aware of the dangers and take a proactive approach against any potential danger instead of being blissfully unaware. there is so much evil in this world, just becaue it seems unthinkable to an average, decent person doesn't mean it can't happen. those creeps live and breathe around us.

not necessarily if there's a big crowd and nobody's paying attention, the parents will be minding their kids, not looking out for potential perverts. covering up your children is common decency, we live in a civilised society and there should be no genitals, adult or not, on display.

I only left Poland recently.

PIP: There are loads of service industry, entry level jobs in Poland- in the cities and larger towns. When was the last time you drove through Poland? Do you know that in most smaller towns they are building Biedronkas like wild fire. And Lidl and Polo market and mini tesco and mini carrefour.

3. yes i am aware of that, Lidl's are opening but closing just as fast as they open because Poles dont like german products, especially food, and whilst they are open they operate under a skeleton crew. As for Biedronka, they do very well for themselves I like Biedronka, but one of those in a small town hardly solves the employment problem. They only build them within a certain catchment area anyway, so lets say 40 jobs covering a populated area of about 20,000 = around 0.2 %. Same goes for all the other chains.

LG Phillips in Tyniec mała near Wroclaw was a massive local employer, they paid around 1200 PLN netto.

THERE IS NO WORK IN POLAND and what does exist is nothing less than extreme exploitation.

I think many Poles have had enough of politicians commanding large salaries whilst many normal people think they have all the solutions round the table but aren't being paid for them. It's interesting how that works.

They do?I don't think so.If they had eneugh of it they would do what the Libyans did.So it seems to me that they are still cool with what's going on in the country of Poland.But I can tell you what,if they ever decide to rise up and march on Warsaw I will be in the first line singing Warszawianka.

totally not true.

I can tell you that there are companies in Warsaw that are expanding- I know this because they are looking for office space- which also means that they are usually looking for more staff.

As for smaller towns- it is similar all over the world.

And as for you recently leaving Poland, you should know then that you blink and there is a new building being constructed in this country.

Go into Biedronka and then Lidl, you make the comparison, the only thing i bought form Lidl was their peanuts and occasionally doughnuts, actually they did occasionally have half decent frankfurters, but in general a load of crap. Biedronka is much better.

As for smaller towns- it is similar all over the world.
