Ok, so I plan on moving to Poland for my retirement and I love fishing (fresh water). What would be a best place to live. Here in USA I live out in the middle of nowhere around some of the best fishing. Would like to find similar place in Poland. I don't mind being 2 hours from nearest city. Thank you for your help.

Mazury - Masurian lake district - lots of lakes (towns of Giżycko Mrągowo Olsztyn plenty of countryside) or Kashubia (Kaszuby) near Gdańsk also plenty of lakes the town of Kartuzy or Kościerzyna

Kashubia has a an advantage of being a trout country also

fishing is also possible in the Baltic as salt content in Baltic is quite low (much lower than in other seas and the ocean)

Mazuria is full of tourists. I would suggest Western Pomerania, areas around Drawsko, Czaplinek, Szczecinek, Wałcz. Plenty of lakes and very little people.

That's true. I've been translating the tourist brochures for Zachodniopomorskie. Lots of stuff about species of fish I'd never heard of before.
