For small villages living... I read through some threads that lifestyle is indeed, laid-back.

How laid-back is village lifestyle in Poland? How do village people spend their days... or... weekends? Sports? farming? church activities? Any others? ...

just wanna hear out some thoughts on everyday living in Poland.. from the country side :)

I have a certain suspicion how they spend their time when not drinking.

So laid-back that I had to lie down otherwise I wouldn’t be bothered to respond to this thread. Now that I’m comfortable I might as well check the other threads. Beer in hand of course ;)

Very laid back generally but intense when it comes to religion. I love the summer vibe out in the villages near here. They kick back and drink (I'm on my bike then so only have 1) and eat some great food, esp fish.

There are many dish antennas in parts, yes. Discos? I don't imagine so, Pol3.

I actually like the Polish country side. I have spent three summers in a little village because I have family there and it is so much fun. It is though kinda scary how everyone knows each other so well and how all the old Babcias sit on benches and gossip. Everyone knows eveything about one another. If you just walk down the street and you don't live there everyone starts talking.

Just don't go through running through the streets shouting Allahu Akbar. You'll get the local mohair berets chasing you away with their umbrellas and bad breath ;) ;)

On a more serious note, it's great to be out in the forests. I think they are puma free now. There were said to be 3 pumas roaming but nothing more has been written of them.

They are, but only while Adidas is king!

Depends a lot on where you are as tohow laid back things are. Some villages are just full of sad, old (or older-looking than they are) men standing around drunk outside the local shop, while the wives try to support familes on the grandparents' pensions. The kids dream of just getting out and the old 'communal' farm is a dying (if not dead) business. The old farmers can't convince their kids to stay and take over a run down farm so they sell the house and land to some rich guy from the town.

Bimber and jabol galore out in the sticks. I occasionally get weird looks from the locals but I'm white and don't look suspicious so they say nothing.

it's spirytus with added chemicals so people can't consume it... it's usually purple... but you can see some old school champs with no liver drinking that...
