Anybody know any websites where I can send text messages from (preferably for free). The only one I know is only for Plus subscribers and I need to be able to send them to Play subscribers.

I don't know any particular site. The last time I was doung that was when I was teen, that is so many years ago! Try to search for "bramka sms". As far as I remember free sms was only to one mobile phone operator but maybe it has changed.

No: Play is owned by a company called P4 and Plus is owned by a company called Polkomtel.

However, there is an agreement between P4 and Polkomtel that in places where the Plus network is still being built Play customers will use the Plus network.

In the US you can send (and receive) free txt msgs to cell phones using Yahoo email adress.I don't know if that works in Poland though.

First of all, if you need free sms to any Cellphone company in Poland, gets rid of your Symbian cell and buy a Cell with android OS. Right now from the web I'm using ''pinger.com/textfree/'' it works 100% sending sms to any Cellphone company in Poland, Once you get androidphone you can send sms international getting app from android market.

I do not believe that Play has its own network
I believe that they rent space from other established providers with their own network such as Polkomtel

I have been biting the bullet and using Skype. Free it most certainly is not but I have to send very detailed SMS
messages to people in a number of countries

Trust me on this (I know a fair bit about P4, and about Polkomtel): P4 have their own network. They do have a domestic roaming agreement signed with Polkomtel, but they are not a VMNO (virtual mobile network operator).

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try (already have an Android phone).
