Just thought I'd share my photos of Krakow and environs, taken in August 2005. I hope to (finally!) be back there by late next month, so more photos are forthcoming.

If any of you have Gmail accounts, please feel free to comment on the photos. I just started up my Picasa page yesterday. :)

Amazing pictures. Are you a professional photographer?

Thanks again guys - I appreciate the compliments!

Nope - just an amateur, but I've been doing it on and off for 15 years, and I'm hoping to put together my first public exhibition in the next year (in Krakow).

Haha - I do remember seeing a McDonalds on Ulica Floriańska (very close to the brama) and thinking "WTF?". Maybe it's nice inside, but it just seemed out of place.

Yes. It was the first McD in Cracow, located after a HUGE battle. It has two levels with interesting old cellars. It looks a little strange there, but we have about 500 places with food in the Old Town - traditional, modern, folk, exotic, rich, poor, legal, illegal... And I saw a lot of McDonalds in the German's old towns in the historical buildings, so I am not surprised too much.

Thank you for sharing such wonderful photos. I usually admire black & white prints the most. They offer a sense of class and nostalgia.

A sincere thanks PF, for putting up with me FIVE terrific years, muah!
