Ohh we Brits love talking about the weather.

Apparently its going to be a cold one, from checking the forecast we have -1 tonight and tomorrow night here in Dolnoslaskie. Its a bit early for sub zero temperatures i reckon but hey bring it on. Im prepared this year.

Will we have the three week -10 like last year? last year was bitter.

Im prepared this year.

Like a squirrel with his stash of nuts,
We'll brave the winter, we've got the guts.
With a nip in the air,
We shan't despair.
We'll just light the fire to warm our butts!

Except for convex, who'll fly away like a migrating bird.

WB has bought some wood
This year, I hope it's good
we are all aware
of last years affair,
he's ready to to kick ass in the hood.

This is wonderful news
we know you have a fuse
it can be quite short,
so goes the purport,
much to our collective amuse.

I've noticed some Members left this site,
Sure to be back on winter's cold night.
With a glass of Bailey's to warm their hearts
And talk in rhyme, now that's an art ;)
While outside a quiet blanket of white.

-- I always like to infuse a little culture when I can.

On PF, culture is in short supply,
I've seen yoghurt with more, than this guy.
Normally I wouldn't bat a lid
But a rhyme i will type for this kid.
But there's probably no point, sigh...

While outside a quiet blanket of white.

Winter's quite the time for play
for wining and dining in a lovely chalet,
on the slopes a' boarding
can be quite rewarding
but please don't drop my liquid crystal display.

can't beat a hoar frost on a cold winter's day.

i like to see the river when it's frozen over.

Winter in Poland can be fun,
Skiing down powder with your hun.
With a flick of the board,
Comes great reward.
either that or you end up on your bun :)

Just had another power cut here
It really interrupted my beer
i ran to assist with the candle light
to be met with hostlility was my plight
next time i'll just relax its my right!

Just had another power cut here

In blows the winter's storm
much harsher than the norm,
but you should have no fear,
WB's got dry wood and beer,
I'm sure he'll be comfy and warm.

The snow and mountains await my dear

can't beat a hoar frost on a cold winter's day.

Nothing like a cold crisp morn,
With no bacteria or viruses airborne.
Chopping up logs to put on the fire
The flames licking the wood, is something to admire,
I had a better ending for this, I could have sworn...

Roasting some sweetcorn?

With my comfy old slippers worn?

But have a steady supple of wood, I have to warn?

Bugger.

Outside the winter temperature downward spirals
inside with the logs a burning defiance rivals
throw in some foil wrapped butter jackets
they'll be lovely and fluffy before you can say jimmy racket
This is what i call survival

Before the winter, we will give thanks
on the menu you wont find franks
in it's stead there will be turkey
and with wine our minds'll get murky
Canucks have Thanksgiving now, not the yanks.

Happy thanksgiving to our Canadian Posters...

Well , i am hoping , fingers crossed ,
that there will not be so many frosts ,
last year i almost froze to death ,
will this year be my final breath..

Far away in a distant land ,
a Russian beauty waits my hand ,
I promised her i would not die ,
so better get some wood stacked high..

When Polands spring comes around ,
I,ll be on the road , Moscow bound ,
another country , another life ,
warm and cosy , with a Russian wife...

thats if i don,t freeze my bits off in an arctic winter....!!

Wildrover it seems is quite the rapper
no more will he need any old slapper
hes upping sticks and ending the discussion
he's heading east to marry a russian
to start his new life as an old fur trapper.

That's nothing. We had 1 month -20/-25 in Bialystok last winter. That was cold.

Wroclaw is one of the warmest cities in Poland.

We had 1 month -20/-25 in Bialystok last winter.

Even Moscow didnt see those temperatures during that period, here the average temperature was around -15, when i said three weeks of -10 i ment it didnt get any warmer for about three weeks it touched -20 numerous times in the early hours. Cold enough especially when you live in a house like mine.

In my opinion anything below -10 is bitter and difficult to feel the difference between that and -20. 0 to -8 is no big deal.

silly to inquire about Polish winters

they're comparable to the comfort of 1,000 splinters

sub-zero temperatures surely render no cheers

thank goodness for Zabkas always selling us beers

so if you choose to endure it buy your tea and soup

but it'll be without FUZZY, i'm flyin' this coop.
