My ex from last year and this coming weekend

Well now, is this the right section of the forum? Not sure but here goes... Next weekend I was trying to get away to a rock concert in Lancashire on Sunday. My plans were semi-scuppered by work so just to be on the safe side I got myself a ticket for the same band's gig on the previous Saturday, but in the Midlands. Since found out there is now no way I can make it to the Sunday gig, so have sorted myself out for the Saturday with train ticket, accommodation etc and have put the other ticket, albeit reluctantly, up for sale. Have since found out that my big big ex is going to the Saturday night gig. mmm. But I'm nervous about the whole thing of potentially bumping into him. Ok, granted, Wolverhampton is a big place and the venue hold up to 4,000 people. So what is the likelihood of seeing him there? My heart is all over the place, it's been over a year since I left him, and no way would I even dream of a reconciliation, anyway, he is meant to be with someone else now, so why is some tiny part of me freaking out about this? I'm both afaraid and excited, if that makes sense?

Are you sure about this? If there definately is no feelings this could be a good thing,if there are feelings tho........
Either way, hopefully you will have some friends with you for support.

well I guess that's the thing, no I'm not sure... I do still have feelings if I'm going to be completely honest. Unfortunately I am travelling alone, none of my friends like the band :0(

Ask yourself what's more important:
"I want to see the concert really badly and who cares if I bump into him" or
"I am so afraid to bump into him and who cares about the concert"
And what would be the worst that would hapen even if you do see him? He won't make a scene because he will be in the company of someone else and there will be ;poeple around. He was part of your life at one time and as much as you never want to see him again, he still exists. Life is too short, be brave and face the challenges, It will make you stronger.

thanks krysia, I like that.. who cares actually.. and maybe if I do indeed see him it may well just complete the healing process that these feelings are leading me to believe is nowhere near done with!

mmm maybe, he gave me plenty of that for sure when I was with him.. and I used to fall for it.. he could have said the sky was green and I'd have believed him I loved him so much.

Best of luck Sunflower. I know it is easy to say but you should never not do what you want to do because you might bump into your ex. It may be awkward for both of you I know but don't let that dictate whether you go or not. If it arises be cool. I know you are a cool woman. He will be feeling just as awkward.

Who are you going to see anyway ( I am a big gig goer)?

Update: Well I'm back from the gig.. which was awesome (Dream Theater.. for your info Jambo :0)))), no superlatives to describe them really, they ROCK!! And yes I saw him.. and spoke to him.. and he's married .. and it looks like an arrangement for cash to me.. but I will explain all later on, just finished night shift and I'm shattered! laterz everyone! x

Thanks Jambo, am ok, had a bit of an upset tummy though the past few days and have spent every spare minute when not struggling through work under my duvet. Must admit I have been feeling a bit down, as well as extremely unsociable. Am at work all day today so must make an effort. I haven't even got round to telling you all what happened, must do that before another week disappears!!
