Polish Forums and Mokwy14a are giving 2 forum members the chance to spend a
weekend in central Sopot this summer for FREE - and you can bring a guest!

All you have to do to win the room is to tell us why we should give it to
you - just post your reason below and the best answer will win!

The first weekend is July 7 & 8 which is also the weekend of the Sfinx
carnival in Gdansk on Saturday and the launch of the Photographs of an
Unwritten Future exhibition at Mokwy14a on Sunday.

You will be a guest at the launch but hurry because its next weekend.

Just post below why you think you should have the room.

The winner will be posted at 17:00 BST on Wednesday 4 July when we will also
announce the date of the second weekend.

The judges' decision is final. Only serious responses will be seriously considered.

I think you should give the room to me because I have never been to Sopot before. Ah ha, many others could say the same but they wouldn't be as entertaining as me. Because I can sit there all day and night and talk and even crack some jokes. I'm just as happy having drinks bought for me as well as sometimes dipping my hand in my purse. Unfortunately, there's not much in there. But, when you are amongst friendly Polish people that shouldn't be a problem. I would be a good Ambassador as well because when I return home I would tell everyone about it (remember I can talk a lot) so everyone I know would be queueing up to go there next year. And, whenever I go on holiday the sun always shines so you would be guaranteed good weather if I won the prize.

The only problem is I can't make that date this year, I could next year. So, if I win I would sell the accomodation and give the proceeds to Charity. I would of course pay for my room when I visited the next year with the hundreds of people I have persuaded to come along as well.

If you give me the room you can stay at my house free if you want a UK holiday. I live in a very nice place.

Is that a better reason ??

1)I haven't been to Poland in so long and pretty much my entire family lives there, so I would love to go and visit while I can still speak Polish, because once I move out I won't have to use the language anymore. (which means I'll forget it)

2) I've been promised a ticket to Poland 3 years in a row now and still haven't gone. My last time there was when I was 2.

The reason you should give it to me is that i'm new to Poland and never been to Sopot. If i win i would like to give it to my mom and dad to show them how much i love them and appreciate everything they did for me.
Also we are available for that weekend. :)

So far, I think Amanda's post is most sincere.....Lady in Red has a good idea, but I like Amanda's response so far......just my 2 cents. :)

i would love to go to Poland . I have never been and i'm hoping to save enough money to go next year.
This would be a great oppitunity to get there sooner. :-)

Sopot is the one and only town (or city? ( I know its a part of the tri city, but not sure if it's a city in its own right)) I have to see before I die. It's where my grandfather was born, and the one I feel culturally drawn to, and the reason why I have started to learn polish. I have to, and will see it before I die.

However, I hope I have a good few years left in me yet,( or at least a few years left in me, perhaps they wont be good, who knows) and I'm busy that weekend. Damn... The one weekend of the year that I am invited to something and 3 things turn up at once! (An engagement party being the 2nd)

I am free for the other 51 weekends, if there are any offers!

Not for the July Date, I am waiting to see if there will be an August date. Depart 8/3, Return 8/23. Weekend of the 11th or 18th could work out.....

I'd like to win the holiday because I need a holiday, somewhere wonderful and with some brilliant people as well. I know I would get that at Sopot. All the people who appear to be going are really great people, especially the judges........<big grin>...........
