Hi

How much should one pay for taxes and insurance per month for a second hand car? What all does it depend on?

I have my second hand car in Germany. Will I need to pay something when I take it to Poland?

I am not planning to use my car regularly. I may like to have it for vacations and occasional use. But how much should I spend on it even if I am not using it?

For example, it is not cheap to have a car in Germany. specially if it is older, because you will pay much more for insurance and higher taxes as they contribute more to the pollution.

It depnds on size of the engine, age of a driver, when he had an accident last time etc. Generally It is 200-500 EUR a year.

Thanks, you always have something to say.

Is this inclusive of both taxes and insurances? Could you separate these two?

That means if one has a smaller say a made in japan car, would pay lesser. Does it not depend on the age of the car?

"Does it not depend on the age of the car?"

No. And a huge tax is in fuel, It's almost as much expensive as in Germany.

True we spent a bloody fortune on petrol last week.... What I do apprecaite though is that they have people at the filling station who put the petrol in your car, great.
