Well, Let me add my two cents worth...

120 years ago, My great-grand parents (both sides) saw what was happening to their beloved Poland. It frightened them enough to look for a place to take their family to ensure its survival. There exists today many Polands and large groups of Polish people in the world. We are no less "Polish" than anyone born in Poland today. In fact, due to our lack of Russian influence, we may actually be more Polish than people in Poland today. Polonia has always been there for the people of Poland. Without the friendly face of Polonia in the world, Poland is nothing more than Mexico. Be very careful not to step on too many toes as you come back to the world my native Polish friends.

this forum would be SO BORING and useless if all we ever dwelled on was the world wars and how much we supposedly hate Germans, Russians and Jews. it's all in the past,

Yep, dwelling is out and Britney Spears impersonation is in. "Ops, I did it again ..."

Haha thanks man.

Mexico is our southern border so I know all too much about that.......

I heard a saying from a Polish exchange student that Poland is like Europe's Mexico (and that was 10 yrs ago.)

I've heard that for years. I think I also caught it in one of the Jackass movies! My point is that the world is full of people with Polish history and I get a little testy when native poles come in and try to disqualify everyone else who tries to welcome and embrace them. Its kind of a stab in the back. I've kicked around a few Polish forums and found that Polonia is generally held as second class citizens. Pisses me off.

Admin made the point to silence all points in that the forum is conducted in English, not in Polish. I can tell you that, from extensive legal training, I had to learn canons of construction and varying methods of interpretation. What appears, prima facie, to be clear often isn't.

This is why we need mods who know the English language well. The day when PF dictates that posts are to be written in Polish, I'll warmly greet the Polish mods, provided that they are interpreting the rules in Polish.

Nothing ma man, nothing.

Daffy was a Mod for those who didn't know. He knows that the rules aren't always so easy/straightforward to apply in some cases.

Why do you think judges reach different verdicts in the absence of precedent? Even with precedent, the facts may be 'tricky'.

And Admin is correct, its a time consuming job!
To the PF teams credit - we see features here that dont exist on some forums or that are as well applied - such as the anti spam - we had loads of issues with that plus the repeat posters one after the other too!

making the Off Topic thread just for members was another cool feature IMHO and of course there are the engage brain moments where we have anti racist rules versus free expression.
That causes some of the biggest, problems, here.

Oh and Off Topics are a real mess to clean up :) It was made easier by being able to select multiple posts and fast track move them to the OTdeletable :)

Oh Oh, and the minimum word count per post being 4 digits - image the post hell as it is, without that!

Yeah, inroads are definitely being made into making it more user friendly and option filled. We should be grateful for that :)

Question to the Mods. Where is that thread on antitheism? I checked using the search facility and it has disappeared off the face of the planet.

Olaf was a trainee but he was too busy to pursue it. I think he made the right choice as he can be quite candid and I mean that in a good way. He likely feels more liberated now.

I age like water. I suppose I'll never get old. (Or grow up!)
