Hi All,

I think it's time to dig into our pockets for some small change to help out PF again, looking at their stats, we have not given much over the last couple of month's. I have started the ball rolling for this month. :)

Sounds good. I'll give a million $ after I win the lottery, otherwise unfortunately I have a lot of bills to pay, children to feed and hungry animals to take care of.

You can never get too close to the animals you love - feed them to the kids ;)

I think that main problem is that we have so many bad things about Poland, and they are not moderated, and so many not important things which actualy were moderated ...

I think that moderators should think about it and maybe there would be more donations .... yes I am sure here is the problem. I am not talking about censure but maybe some the most vulgar posts could be moderated ;-)

What about the bad things about Poland that are true? Those often get loads of crap.

It is ridiculous to be offended by or argue against reality simply because of your nationality.

Ok some statements are true and sad ... I agree but some are realy Hitler ...

I just noticed one fact, and I think administartors of this forum should think about it. Only ppl with positive attitude towards Poland will pay donations, those who come here to say crap, will never pay.

So you want to make it a forum where everyone pays so that the only people that come here will never say anything bad about Poland?

Interesting how people cannot accept those who disagree with them They want a bunch of people to sit around and say "yeah you are right!"

of course not. I realy anjoy the fact that when I google "Polish Vikings" I see direct link to this forum. I realy enjoy a lot of things here. I just think that sometimes it is to "much" and some posts don't stick to reality Polish ,Euopean USA ... maybe they stick to Mein Kampf book. This is my private opionion

The problem is not about writings about things that are bad in Poland. I'm sure there is plenty of things that are bad in Poland (or any other country for that matter). Some of the bad things are deemed "bad" because they are different than elsewhere.

The problem is writing with the intent to present everything Polish as bad. Some posters seem to have the tendency towards this kind of posts.

and for example there is a lot of people who just googled something about Poland, enter this page, and see discussion between Michal, Wroclaw Boy and so on. With statemnts that in Poland we firstly gas tourists in trains and later steal their pockets eventualy rape (BS).

Geez Lir, I like you but you come across as patronising. No offence, but all I wanted was for Admin to show us where our money goes. Many people here agree with me that, when they give to charity, they like to know that their money reaches its destination.

What outlets and areas do donations cover?

Guinness $450
Tickets for the match - $245
Taxis - $76
Subscription to Heat - $23
Lap Dancers $2,000 (entertaining clients only)
Server upgrades - $4
UI design consultancy $1.50

Note - this is my unaudited vague recollection of this evening's spend not Admin's budget.

Well I think you come across as pompous and a bit of a know it all and think you are more clever than other people but I don't hold that against you.

No offence Seanus but you seem to get your underpants in a real twist if anyone posts something which may not be to your liking.

Tough lol......I really don't care whether you like me or not. You appear to be patronising in that very statement
Seanus:

All I said was do you want an official audit of Admins accounts. What is so patronising about that then ?
Seanus:

Polish Forums is not a charity ? Do you mean most of the Gold members when you say ' Many people ' ?

Seanus:
they like to know that their money reaches its destination.

I would imagine that the money would have obviously reached Admin as it is a direct payment to PF is it not ?

:)

I don't sneer at people as you appeared to do to me. Give me ONE, just ONE instance of me getting my knickers in a twist.

I don't consider my knowledge superior at all. I have conceded many times that I am out of my depth in many threads, thus I bail out. I HATE intellectual elitism believe it or not.

It's just the fact that it was a hee hee hee issue for you. It's not a question of accounts, it's a question of wanting to know where the money goes. Sorry, that's normal in my eyes.

Sorry, my bad. I meant in Poland and not on PF. They want to know that their money reaches its target. I don't blame them. We want to see tangible benefits from our donations. I didn't say it was a charity but, nonetheless, it's still an operating concern where we want to see how our money is used.

No receipts are issued. I'm not undermining the process or doubting the sincerity of how Admin uses the money, I merely want to know the various ways in which the money is used. I'm not into blind donations, sorry.

Apparently some of the money is spent on articles specifically written for the site by paid writers.
Where?

Thank you Osioł. You see Lir, that was what I was looking for. Not attempts at downsizing. Where indeed?? Where is the evidence of this?

Stop being so childish. Accept that I can make comments on a public forum, deal with it and just move on !

Well, so can I. You offer little to what a forum represents, discussion.

Just cheap hee hee hee's. I accept that you can make comments, that was never in question.

Yes, end of!

Actually, when this thread was created 'donors' didn't receive any benefits (other than supporting the site). Now all members receive real benefits and they may not even be considered as 'donations.' When you go to a movie theater, you don't ask the cashier where your money goes, do you.

osiol:

Where?

Use your search skills online. Hopefully you don't assume texts written for the site or other campaigns are necessarily posted on this site, do you. Otherwise, it would be like you telling your boss: "Boss, we have good service, but we could do with more people using our service. Why don't we call a meeting and tell all our employees what kind of service we offer, maybe some of them will find out more about it and start using the service?"

Seanus:
I'm not into blind donations, sorry.

Then you should have reported that due to a technical (?) reason you could not enjoy more stored messages in your Inbox or that you could not see members online (these are the basic benefits of Gold members). Or it is working for you and you just took it for granted.

Nevertheless, I can tell you what happened to money from the whole last month --> all money was spent in full and immediately. But you'll have to use your imagination to figure out what it was spent on (hint: "there are some things money can't buy", especially if you have zero money to spend :}.

Some of the posts tell me that you have no idea...to have a website - there is a fee, to keep it clean (moderate) there is a time spent...and, there is never enough money to pay for somebody's time well spent. Your time - it is the most expensive commodity anybody can offer. So, enjoy the site. It is free (money wise) to you. The time you spent on it - it's your expense. Use it wisely.

Cheers for the replies! I am grateful for the smooth functioning of the technical aspects of the site. I am one of the last people who would take something for granted.

I wasn't trying to do a money trace, just to get comments as to the nature of the donations and how buoyant the site is.
