Because shy/reserved guys should have the same rights as forward ones?

Just because people don't register, doesn't mean they're not useful in providing information to other members. Many guests have helped in the genealogy, ancestry forum, the language forum, history forum and other forums about Poland.

Many are just passing through, and provide good information in certain threads, and some become members in the near future. It can also be said that a few are just trolls who come here to flame others but the same can be said about a few members who have already registered.

But at least you can ban the members who cause trouble, you can't do that to guests unless you block their IP as well. And that doesn't always work, because of dynamic IP addressing.

Registered members can and do post trouble too. In general, Vincent's reply above is how we feel it should be done on PF.

I asked the same question when I registered. An old hand suggested that it was because Admin made money from google ads. Any truth in that, Admin? Or doesn't google care how many hits you get? Don't get me wrong, good luck to you, but if only registered members were allowed to post, it would stop at least some of the crap.

There are too many valuable posts made by non-registered members (for some reason they don't want to register) that we still allow them to posts. Besides, there are classified sections and it doesn't make sense for posters to register just to post one classified ad and never appear here again.

It hardly makes sense for "guests" to be allowed to post once, disrupt the forum, and never appear again (under a particular username, that is - who knows how often they return under another "guest" username) but you still allow it ;)

I still think it might be about filthy lucre. I asked about it but my question was neatly sidestepped by our illustrious leader.

I've never seen an advert on here.

Adblock Plus FTW :)

illustrious leader.

You know something, I'm surprised we don't have a Stalinist image of him waving to us instead of that image in the top left corner... lol. I wonder if they accept bony towarowe if you become a "Gold member"? haha

would it be possible for the checker to return threads/posts that you are interested in?  Newest posts first?
