This is called a Polish forum but represents very little about real polish life. It is full of people with anger management issues, low-self esteem, and generally f-up people. You all really need to get a life and start talking to people in "real life"

Are you sure your problem isn't that posters may disagree with you or challenge you?

Plenty of Poles on the forum anyway by the way - haven't you noticed?

relaya, your quote is correct, there are some people on PF that do not deserve to be labelled so. It normally descends into a protagonist/antagonist, situation very quickly here, I have been visiting this forum on and off for about a year, and I find it bizarre how many people on PF continuously bicker about life in Poland. You would have thought they would leave and go home just for the easy life.

If I was to label myself, I would say that I sit in both camps, starting out as a protagonist, then being sucked into becoming an antagonist, although I am never negative about Poland, as I am very happy with my lot here.

Get a life and accept that everything Polish is not great.

I must be one of those ( honest ) people, and will continue giving my opinion to the way I see life in Poland.

You have patriots and realists in every country, who is it best to listen to ?

Thread attached on merging:
Cut off in my Prime

I have been cut out of in my last post.

I do not have a problem with confrontation or challenges of any kind, I do however have a problem with the "slagging off" of any nationality just because someone has had a bad experience, or indeed no experience at all, which appears to be the case of some posters here.

I have some great polish friends and it just upsets me when people start "tarring everyone with the same brush". Especially that silly Espana, who puts on silly utubes, perhaps he should show drunken girls in the uk, they far outweigh anything you would come accross in Poland.

Everyone does it relaya - it's not just confined to the English or English speakers.
Believe it or not, Poles do it too.

It sometimes gets out of hand but I wouldn't get too worked up about it.

It just one page.
Use your fingers + brain and click a bit in search for pages that show Polish life.
:)
In case if you are interested.

You all really need to get a life and start talking to people in "real life"

Oh,...
Do we? Do you think are we all computer addicted jerks?
What is real lfe?
Give me a definition of it, if you do not mind, of course.
:D

The forum has a disproportionate number of Poles, that is true. Poland needs a spicy issue, one which has a broader ambit than a cross. Smoleńsk had 'type with caution' written all over it. Kommie being elected is about as interesting as watching neeps grow. It comes back to the same old trotted out yawnathon stuff about pierogi, wódka and beautiful girls. Come on, let's have some Poles bringing a cracker of a thread to the top of the board. Sth original and meaty :) :) Stand up to the plate!

if I were in PL now, i don't think I'd search for a Polish forum... what for?
but because i am a Pole living abroad, i have a pretty good reason... we all have a reason... some more reasonable then others... ;)

That's a fair point! I joined a Scottish forum when I was in Japan so I know why you did it. Still, I think it's because Poles prefer to discuss things on a face-to-face basis around the table, perhaps with some alcohol thrown in for good measure if the circumstances allow.

Apart from southern, who spends all day, every day on here?

Certainly not me. I have far more important things to do than stay online all day!

How about a "Free Silesia, f*** Warsaw!" thread? ;)

I'm already taking bets on how many posts it will take Crow to turn it into a Serbian issue :D

Anyway, the forum needs antagonists - if only to add some balance to the "Poland is perfect brigade" ; )

I mean seriously, I've only been on this site for a few weeks but a quick glance around a few threads will reliably inform me that Poland:

Has the best, most natural and most healthy food in the world
The best beer in the world
The best education in the world
The best looking women in the world ... etc etc

...and anything that isn't the best, well, it's probably all the fault of the west anyway.

Really?

All I see are threads using such simple generalisations to prove the opposite.
Maybe I have been on this site for too long and can't see the wood through the trees?
