An hour ago I was trying to visit polishforums website but when I typed polishforum adress into browser a download manager was opening to download some unknow file (of course I did not push agree for downloading button). What was happening?

I, on the other hand, did press the download button and the source code made for interesting reading.

Instead of of the programming code for the forum being interpreted on the web server it was being sent to the web browser. You could potentially read all the source code for the website, including database passwords etc. Whether a hacker could actually use that information is another matter.

More likely it was some sort of webserver problem

Looks like servers were changed yesterday, the address changed and it seems like dns updates are kind of flaky.

There aren't any passwords in the php file.

i experienced difficulties, too.

virus was uploaded in my system thru the icon of Polihsforums (or parallel with opening). i was at the moment vulnerable because these days i reconfigure things on my PC and anti-virus program was disabled. Anyway, till the morning Kaspersky solved problem

I've experienced the same thing too, only that was yesterday. Oh, and there were actually more files. It wasn't just one.

Yeah - Trener, I would love to have logged in as you and delivered a really contrite address to PF users, explaining how you are really an undercover liberal, merely posting as a right wing nutjob to test the resolve of all the true liberals : )

My first suspicion was that it was hacked but for what motive? Other important details lie elsewhere.

You totally messed up my computer. Bunch of incompetent morons. It's going to cost me money to fix it. Thanks a lot!! I'm done with this place.

Nothing about my privates in my private mail, Zeti ;) ;)

What's a conspiracy, convex? It's a word that I encounter but am not familiar with it.

My computer is suspect at times anyway so I should really install more than I have. It's strong but it could be stronger.

lol I thought I was suspended.. but I didnt click on the link cause it clearly stated
that it was a security issue when it popped up and so I just closed it and went shopping.

I made a chocolate texas sheet cake for a tailgate party for a friend at work. :)

That seems fair enough.

BTW, looks like it was just php files, not executable...

I've got the file too.
Is there any classified info in it that I could use to anybody's detriment?
